I have been visiting a friend in Freelands Croft for just over seven years and would like to commend the home for the very good care that was given to the said resident. The managers and staff were always helpful. I got to know most of the nurses, care staff, receptionists and cleaning staff well. My interactions with them were always warm, friendly and helpful.
The care given to the resident was excellent! I was particularly impressed by how all residents were treated with dignity, warmth, and gentle humour.

This issue was now resolved, they reached out to me on my previous visit. They assured that the driver was now aware and was briefed about health and safety. My recent few visits showed that they had taken an action already, The company car can be seen parked on a bay.

There should be an access for any potential emergencies. Driver nowhere to be found. Guy who worked here threw something on a bin and he also realised that it is a health and safety issue, says driver is nowhere. This is a company car and there must be somebody responsible to check that access is available. I had sat here for more than 10 minutes. hoping the driver would come out. I could also reverse and leave. Time check: 0725 now. This is a good test of how this can be attended after having a staff seen the situation. Went down and rang, one lady came and I explained the issue of access and how important it is. Time check: 0728. At last, at 0731 hrs the drivers came and managed to have a chat, the company car driver was blaming the driver of the smaller car. Petty thing but it is nice to know how they react given a situation and having the responsibility to look after senior people.

My sisters and I have been thoroughly impressed with all the staff at Freelands Croft. From initial conversations regarding suitability for our Fathers needs, to a respite stay and now a permanent resident.

We have been learning ourselves and often needed support from the management team to help us navigate complexities with administration. We are indebted to the nursing team who take everything in their stride, treat everyone with respect and have also given us lots of advice and support which we understand dementia.

I cannot recommend the Freelands Croft team highly enough.

Amazing staff, very warm, very friendly and welcoming. Residents looked happy. The home was very clean and tidy, with lots of staff on duty supporting the resident. My visit to Freelance Croft today reminded me of why I used to love being a nurse manager.

I am in Freelands Care Home often and have got to know the residents well over a period of time.

There is always something going on for them, some activity, a celebration of an international or national day, a garden party, a family day and plenty of music.

The home feels and smells clean and feels friendly.

Once inside the dining room, there is always a lovely smell of cooking that has been or is going on and the staff are really friendly and attend to the residents needs, wants etc.

When you enter the building there is always someone at reception to welcome you and help you with where you need to be.

When we are unable to care for our loved ones ourselves, it is heart-breaking, as we all know how tough this time is, but we are so lucky to have an establishment like this, as we all know that there are so many needs that need to be met for those needing care and I have seen in the last 24 months and more, just how good this home is.

The residents that I know, always seem well cared for, they love all the activities and they love their food as well and that is so reassuring for their well-being.

My father has been a resident in the home for 9 months now. It was a difficult decision to place him in care but the right one. All the staff have been so supportive in welcoming my father, helping him adjust and guiding family through the transition. My father is very settled, happy and well looked after. His memory will never improve but he’s very safe and content and that’s what matters. Thank you Freelands. I would certainly recommend this home for your loved ones.

Nice place to spend your last years. My mum stayed and past away here. The staff are good helpful and friendly. Considering the circumstances many folks dont want to be in a care home but most need all round care and its a tough and difficult situation but the staff try deal with this well. Theirs good activities and excellent catering. The grounds are nice to with lots of flowers and birds in summer. Thanks for all the support you provided.
