Awful management company. No communication and impossible to get hold of. Sold to Anthem Management who are just as bad if not worse! Glad to be selling our property and hoping to never have to deal with these companies again.

Similar to many of the reviews here if I could give 0 stars I would. Emails from November 2023 never answered. Quick to contact to say about their name change to Anthem, or because they want money (a service charge that has doubled since I first move into my property) but can't seem to get back to you on anything. No idea what service we are paying for. Honestly ridiculous that they are even allowed to still manage properties.

Absolute shocking company... Have been following up an issue regarding mould since over a year ago and no one ever gets back to you. A contractor came out June 2023, 3 days after my baby had been born and nothing has been done since. I think it is outrageous that a company as such is allowed to get away with this. They do not get back to you and even when they do answer the phones, they say 'I will get someone to get in contact with you' but this never happens! I guarantee if they were put in the same position themselves as living in these situations, they wouldn't think for 2 seconds before contacting especially if it was an ongoing issue where windows wouldn't open and mould issues constantly reoccurring!!

I really would give zero stars if I could.

Summary
If you want to pay through the nose for a completely useless....and I mean that in the fullest sense of the word, they are absolutely no use what so ever ! - block management company, then you've come to the right place.

Anthem are the worst block management company I have ever had the misfortune to use and I've got 35+ years experience.

Sadly we inherited them when they were Gem, then they changed to Qdime or Hazelvine and now Anthem.
The reviews online for them are appalling !. It makes you wonder if they keep changing names to shed the bad reviews.

Anyway, we've successfully terminated our contract with them. They are the most useless group of incompetent buffoons I've ever had to deal with and I'm so pleased we are shot of them and that we've moved on to a company that I know cares about our properties.

Not even worth 1 star, they should have 0!
Sent an email on 29/11 and we are now 25/1 with no response. Sent 4 reminders during this time with no responses, but can send me a letter demanding service charge funds !! Funny how they can carry on demanding money but not respond to my emails.
We have the external light of our building currently broken and has been reported since October ! Nobody has been to fix this, it is a simple bulb change! Anybody could do this. Yet it remains out, leaving the external area pitch black very early as we are in the midst of winter.
My property manager left the company, I had no idea of this until I got an OOO and I have not been told who my new property manager is. Communication is beyond a joke!

USELESS COMPANY!!! impossible to communicate with, it's been third time that we have not received our half year service charge bill in post on time. After numerous tries to contact them we only found out that they apparently sent it to a none-existent email they hold in their system. we do not even know how GEM got such an email.
We always only found out about service charge bill after they issued £39 fee for Credit follow up letter, which obviously had to be cancelled because we never got a service charge invoice in first place. It is ridiculous, now service charge was supposed to be due till September 2023, we are in October, no invoice received, no way to contact them because they do not answer phone.

Unresponsive and unaccountable. Have had an active leaking roof for a year and Gem have refused to repair it despite New Build Warrantee Insurance scheme investigating and confirming that Gem Estate Mgmt are indeed liable to repair the roof issues. My leaking roof has been under Gem’s investigation” for an entire year.

I have called and emailed incessantly throughout the past year. Their directors don’t care and the staff and unhelpful.

We carried out work for this company on their instruction and they have failed to pay us for the work that has been carried out!! Continuous chasing, calls, emails and we have just been ignored! Disgusting way to treat contractors, by the looks of things they do not treat their tenants any better.
You should be ashamed of yourselves.
They do not even deserve one star
