Absolutely shambles this company, had to change my number plate from my private one as I was getting a new car. Charged me £240 online so phoned up and said this should be about £25-40, there’s an error in the system. She confirmed I was correct. Later she said oh it will show as 2 transactions on your bank but only £25 would come out and she swore blind that 2 bank transactions wouldn’t go out… following day 2 bank transactions went out… £240 to change a number plate and then 8 days to get a refund on their mistakes!!

My wife insured her Seat Ateca for a grand total of 20 days before we decided to sell it. So with a cancellation fee of £45 plus some strange added policy costs totalling around £60 for 20 days insurance..the grand total was around £104. Not happy with this and their online chat simply dismissed her query on the cost. Best avoid these insurers.
Did get a call from their service team who refunded the cancellation costs so much improved service.

Have taken car insurance with this company today , First impressions cheap Internet quote , however on reviewing it I noticed a mistake, so decided to phone them. Big mistake they charged me £45 for speaking on the phone to amend the date I passed my driving test. My £125 pound saving this year reduced to £80, suddenly doesn't seem so good. Not the best way to make a good impression with a new customer. However I gone with them and reading these reviews, I'm wondering if it was good move switching to them. Time will tell

My word, what a company!! Every time you want to speak to someone it costs £45! Could not add my son on the policy so had to cancel, yep £45 please. They didn't cancel the policy despite me having a transcript stating they had. Called to query why they hadn't and it's just cost me another £45. So I have to pay for their mistake and then a further £27 for the month THEY mistakenly insured me for!! Do yourselves a favour and just avoid, goodness knows what hoops you'd need to jump through for an actual claim!!

Took out an insurance policy, documents requested (5). Fine- sent all over. Policy was approved, then got a letter yesterday saying my policy will be cancelled in 7 days (dated to cancel tomorrow), rung up “nothing we can do, it will show on your record for years”. I sent all the right documents, sent emails, live chats asked what they need. No response. Policy is going to be cancelled now as no one is in over the weekend. Should have stayed with FirstDirect at least they actually care about their customers!!!!!!

My insurance with Geoffrey Insurance was completely fine. Had no dramas. It was cheap. I had to call in to request for a no claims bonus document and spoke to Precious on the phone. Had a good laugh and she was just a pleasant person to speak to over the phone. We need more people like Precious! Thanks again for your help.

Signed up to the insurance with 2 years no claims later decided that I don't need my main insurance and transferred my fully 9 years no claims to this policy. When I spoke to them they said you've already added them (which I never did) Cancelled it straight away and took out a new policy with someone else for quarter of the price

Emailed and asked to contact Geoffrey to discuss my renewal to be told Geoffrey wouldn’t renew my insurance based on a number of metrics. Car 1.4 10+years no claims and I’m 34. I was able to pay an admin fee and amend my no claims to 11 years (year accrued with Geoffrey) and they would renew… no thanks. So if you have a middle of the road car and a long no claims discount then Geoffrey is not for you, avoid and save the hassle folks.
