Appalling service from start to finish. If your insurance company assign GHG as your loss adjusters I would recommend requesting another one. I have never before had to go through a process with such incompetent and dishonest people and as a company operating in a regulated industry they should be taking a very close look at the way in which their employees are carrying out their duties.

GHG handled my claim on behalf of Axa and they provided the worst service I have ever come across. Rather than guide me through the claims handling process they made the whole process a nightmare. The loss adjuster assigned to me plus most other people I came across, were both incompetent but also deceitful - he would claim reports had been sent when they hadn’t on more than one occasion. I had to call to chase just to move the process along on an almost daily basis for 7 months.

They claim on their website to have earned a reputation for’High quality loss adjusting’ - I have seen absolutely no evidence of this.

This company is either dysfunctional or it deliberately delays the process for making a payment.
Three months down the line from a severely water damaged house we have received absolutely nothing from them. Invoices sent in months ago still haven’t been processed.
The response on here is to contact customer services where you will talk to perfectly reasonable but ineffective representatives. The company is rotten to the core.

It started off well, and based on feedback from the loss adjustor during her site visit I expected a quick turnaround and settlement.

Unfortunately that experience speedily morphed into an appalling service with consistant failures by GHG to deliver. The loss adjustor assigned to my case lost Information on several occasions, failured to respond to voice messages and emails on multiple occasions (as did her collegues with one marked exception). Customer service is / was non-existant.

I truly cannot believe this company is still in business.

Always keep me on hold and never return my calls. The handlers don't check their own emails before responding to you, often asking for information they already have. Because of these reasons, I would never use this company again or have a single good word to say about them. We are in a cost of living crisis and due to their delays in responding / general lackadaisical attitude to the cover I paid UP FRONT AND IN FULL for, I am being told I NEED to wait another 10 days or more. When THEY missed the information I ALREADY sent them. Have I spoken to my call / case handler since confirming the details - No. Have they got all they need and had it over 7 days? Yes. Should I wait another 10 days because they can't open their own emails, xmas round the corner? NO.

AVOID!!!! Communication skills are non existent, consistently repeats requests for information despite it already have been sent multiple times. They don't seem to be able to read emails or they just don't give a toss. We have a claim open since April and they have only paid half. Disgusting attitude by everyone encountered at this JOKE of an organisation. I'd give 0 stars if I could.

Absolutely a shocking company !! Avoid at all costs- If your insurance broker has these as there representative then please please don’t take the insurance as it not worth the paper it’s printed on and they will find ANYTHING not to help you with ANY genuine claim. My roof fell in due to storm damage and a engineer came out to check and take photos (didn’t even go on the roof ) to say it wasn’t storm damage within dates they he thought it happened (joke) could of been months ago and got worse.
To be told should of check my gutters so many times a year (which they was with roofers receipts) still didn’t help me…
Avoid at all cost guys !!! These con merchants just take your money and do not help… I even shopped around asking for favours to get the cost down so it wasn’t a big claim, it was £5800 for a new roof/ wood joints and rubber in the end I got it to £2650 from a chap I knew who really helped me and they still didn’t help… Not even half the bill.
Just make sure people these don’t take your money….

Absolutely terrible

Our claim for flood damage to our home was approved by our insurer in middle of December 2022. It is now January 18th and our claim has still not been settled. There is no communication from GHG as to what is going on. I have been emailing them constantly for updates. but the claim handler never replies. They have no concern for my elderly wife and myself a disabled pensioner and never again will I use an insurer associated with GHG.

Absolutely terrible

My claim was approved by the insurer in first week of December 2018. This is 2nd week of January and claim hasn't still been settled. There is no communication from them as to what is going on. I have to chase them constantly for updates. They never proactively sent me any updates. They are unavailable or unresponsive when tried to reach. Dave Saunders was professional and reassuring when he visited us to assess the loss. But he never picked up the call or never returned it. One advice is, If your claim handler is GHG, please avoid the insurer.
