The log in site is rubbish. Every time I've tried to log in its locking my account. I then change password. Still doesn't work. After a long phone call with service centre. Finally changed password a couple of times. Then got in. Until the next time I try to log into my account and it all starts again. 3 times now. I can't be bothered phoning them again. Please send it me in paper form. Please. 🙄🙄

Absolute Cowboys.

Doing their utmost to delay or stop any payouts, even though it's MY money.

Firstly, they blamed my employer for not submitting the necessary paperwork ( I asked for written proof of this which they were of course unable to supply)

Then, they claimed that I have not signed a form (again asked for proof of this, they are unable to supply and just try and pass you from one person to another one the phone)

It's been 4 months since requesting a refund of my contributions and they have still not processed anything.

Funny how long a single bank transaction takes when they have to pay anything out! 🙂

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

The worst thing is thousands of civil servants have no choice but to deal with this company.

No wonder your 2 star rating on Google Maps.

Claim to get back within 20 days! Blatant lies! Have you on hold forever. Don’t waste your time, advice, turn up at their new shiny building, get your pension details and move asap! Absolute jokers! 43mins and counting, 12 months I’ve been dealing with these clowns.

Thanks for the reply! Just put the record straight! I was number 1 in queue the whole time! Funny how you answered as soon as the review went live!

You need to look at your staff, procedures and work on customer service!

Spent 30 minutes one day hanging on to speak to an advisor. I finally managed to get through and spoke to someone but not before a number
of attempts over a week. Should not be so difficult. Tried to e mail in-between but got no where with that one.

An absolutely excellence service - all the staff I have spoken with have been super friendly and helpful. I'm lucky enough to receive my pension from GMPF and count on it month in and month out. I have no concerns in receiving it as GMPF are super efficient and very well ran. Thank you GMPF, your work is much appreciated!

My pension pot is missing a cheque they said they sent but they have no proof of this ? I never received the money im entitled to,I'm out of pocket by £3509.72 I'm taking further legal action also the pensions ombudsman. They cannot even get there dates right on the response and conflicting replies by different staff that I have evidence of. If you are a member I would look in to your pension if you are hoping to leave your pension to your love ones and contact the pensions ombudsman get it in writing as you might not get to leave you pension to someone even if you fill out the online app for your wishes, they may be nothing the family or loves ones can do once you have passed away, this is not a secure pension scheme. I see there are multiple complaints about GMPF, be (AWARE) Dated 30/1/24

What a mare honestly rang July 23 long conversation about possible retirement scenerios thought all was going forward was advised to fill in online so did dates etc.

Had AVCs as well linked to pension and was told they had to wait for them to send figures so waited to hear .

Had mail from GMPF 4th Aug explaining this again .

Thought I would ring for an update today did initially told it had been sent to AVC provider for attention ,rang AVC provider to give them a reminder told they had not heard a thing from GMPF rang GMPF back to be told AVC provider have actually not been contacted at all as they need to do a manual calculation and that can take 8 weeks !

And then they send me a letter to ask me what I want to do then they contact AVC provider and in the mean time I do not get my pension .

So it seems am waiting for someone to do a calculation somewhere before I get my pension .

What a system what an awful service am shocked.

Update
I responded to answer below and followed instruction and filled in quoted form and sad to say not even a response to this ,today is 7 weeks since date I should of started recieving my pension and have not had any contact from GMPF only the contact I have instigated

I've been consolidating one or two small pensions. Other providers manage to transfer within days whereas GMPF make the process as slow, unwieldy and bureaucratic as possible. I can only assume this is because either they are genuinely chaotic or have a deliberate policy of hanging on to money that's not theirs for as long as they can. It's now been 2 months since I started the process and virtually no progress...

No communications/no updates under 'My Account' on their site, so no way to track progress

Phoning them does nothing - the opening times advertised on their own website say 8.30am to 5pm yet when you phone between these times a message says the lines are closed.

No other apparent way of contacting them - just a form where you can only ask a range of irrelevant questions, and when I tried to use this the site crashed.

I ask myself, if I was 80 years old, would I want the worry of being dependent upon this 1970s style organisation for my pension money? I could be down to my last tin of beans!

I'm better off elsewhere...and the sooner the better 😀
