I contacted HandyExperts having suddenly no hot water. A plumber attended, spent all day but was unable to restore the hot water. Another plumber was sent by H.E. who did a power flush as suggested by the first plumber, but was unable to restore the hot water. Now without hot water for over 2 weeks. I asked if there was any way of restoring the hot water at least temporarily and was told that this wasn't possible. I had already paid over £800. I contacted a different firm who came and restored my hot water in under 2 hours. H. E. informs me that I owe further payment which I am contesting.

An extremely positive experience, right from the start. Cheerful and helpful receptionists answered the phone immediately and communicated really well; I felt looked after straight away.
We were sent Paul the electrician, who was very cheerful, prompt and courteous; he really made the effort to find the best possible solution for us. He was flexible and made useful suggestions; as a result, we ended up with something better than we had envisaged. He ensured we were happy with the job and left everything looking smart and tidy.
My impression was that this is a widespread company with many trades and expertises to offer, yet one which prides itself on its personal service and customer relations.

Absolutely excellent company from end to end.

The customer service team scheduling the appointment were brilliant. Gave me a ring and were able to talk knowledgeably about how long the job may take and any difficulties. They were super responsive when I requested to change the time of my appointment as well.

The plumber Ryan came and replaced my tap with absolutely no fuss. My tap has some complexities making it more difficult to replace than most but he had no issue in doing it, and did so for the price quoted before turning up.

Highly highly recommend and will be using them again!

The customer service team scheduling the appointment were great. The job was also completed to satisfaction .

Saying that the 2 star rating is because the repairman fabricated additional time to overbill us. HandyExperts work on a standard charge of £110 p/h, + £55 for each additional half hour.

It was confirmed by my tenant, Ervin (the repairman) stayed 1 hour max, yet I was billed for 2 hours.

After conversations with the CS team this was reduced to 1.5 hours charge, but I'm still aggrieved with the dishonesty. Had I been charged 1.5 hours from the outset I wouldn't have queried the invoice, but in truth it should have been 1 hour labour.

I have used Handy Experts for nearly 10 years for gas safety and EIC checks (inc PAT) and they notify me when they are due. They have maintained & repaired the boiler inc at short notice.
They also installed/ checked smoke & CO2 alarms, installed oven, replaced main stopcock, taps and shower screen; removed a stuck washing machine and repaired the uneven floor causing the problem. On the rare occasion a repair has needed further attention they have attended quickly and willingly.
Contractors communicate well, are proactive and advice is sensible and proportionate.

I had an issue with low pressure at my bathroom sink. James fixed it and recommended other additional optional improvements. Highly professional work, delivered fast, with faultless communication and friendliness. For a reasonable price, as well. I would highly recommend.

We had a reasonabl complicted issue which was dealt with comprehensively. The electrician also found the optuaml solution to the probem which not only solved the problem but also kept costs down
