Very Disappointing Service

I am extremely dissatisfied with the services provided by Hub Accountant. The quality of their work has been well below expectations, with numerous tasks either completed poorly or left undone. Communication has been unclear, and I have encountered unexpected hidden charges that were not disclosed upfront.

It feels as though their main focus is on making money rather than delivering a quality or professional service. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend their services, as the lack of transparency and professionalism has been truly disappointing.

Very clinical and a bit pompous. Pleasant receptionist but, unlike other accountancy firms I called in to, no accountant came out to meet and greet and to see if they could help me, hence why I went elsewhere.

A first class audit function provided by HWB. They were personable perceptive and well prepared for all that we asked them to do.
They fitted around our requirements and completed their work with very little interruption of our day to day activities.
I would recommend them to anyone in need of a comprehensive audit delivered by engaging, knowledgeable and rigorous accountants

They’re fine for basic bookkeeping, but don’t rely on them for anything more. Their terrible tax advice led to me owing HMRC thousands down the line. They are far more interested in lining their own pockets than looking out for their clients. If you are looking for competent unbiased advice, I’m afraid you won’t find it here. Edit after HWB's response: Funny as I remember extensive bookkeeping assistance during the time we engaged your firm and indeed your own website lists 'bookkeeping advice and support' as a service. The advice I am referring to is the extensive promotion and encouragement to use the contractor loans scheme - promoted heavily by your firm and specifically Alan Williams. This scheme was promoted as HMRC approved and an excellent tax planning mechanism, although HMRC have since disagreed and it has cost many thousands. Clients were left to foot the bill whilst HWB have offered no apology or attempt to assist, but were of course happy to collect large fees at the time for their 'advice and support'. They are a dishonest firm, that will look out for their own interests above those of the client. Again I urge anyone interested in any tax advice, estate planning advice or who would prefer to work with honest accountants, to look elsewhere.
