My Father fell on holiday and was in a coma overseas all on his own. They did nothing to help, and the service was shocking. My Father has since passed away and is stuck overseas with us having no idea of how we will get him home. They are trying to find loop holes to get out of paying. It’s just sickening. Do not give these people your money, book elsewhere to avoid the hassle of reverting to the ombudsman like us.

Unfortunately this company is refusing to complete my claim. While on a trip to Canada I needed emergency medical help, I contact IMG as instructed via the policy. I was told treatment would be covered since it was reccommended by the doctor in the ER. I ensured I had all the paperwork, submitted it quickly, within 2 weeks. They needed to receive background information from my GP, which my GP submitted also within 2 weeks. I've now been waiting almost 8 weeks since my GP submitted everything. All they need to do is look at it, make a decision and pay me - but no one will.

I have been calling for 8 weeks, multiple times a week. I always get through to somebody who sounds lovely, and promsies "someone will look at it" and that I "should hear back within a day or two" and I never do. until I call again, and again and again. This incident happened in early January and it is now early March. All paperwork was comlete by January 24th.

I have issued a formal complaint with them as of a few weeks ago, which I did receive an e-mail notification for. I will be calling the Financial ombudsman today and raising a case.

I think this company hopes to break your spirit by gaslighting you for so long you give up and never chase your money. I don't understand how they have staff working 24 hours a day and one person can't look at my file for 30 minutes in the last 8 weeks? Nonsense.

DO NOT USE THEM AT ANY COST OR ANY OF THEIR SUBSIDARIES, SUCH AS TRIPSURE.

Have had a really bad experience recently with my claim request with IMG.
Looks like they just want to reject the claim request giving some baseless reasons.
One reason they have given is that my documents are not verifiable. I have provided a copy of my visa, flight tickets, entry/exit immigration stamp, doctor's receipts and certificates, etc and even after all this they are saying that the documents are not verifiable.
In my view they are not doing any actual verification of the documents and receipts I have provided because i recently checked with the clinic where I got the treatment and they confirmed me that they have not been contacted by anyone for verification of my treatment.
Another reason they are giving is that the type of Service Provider for which I have provided the receipts and documents is not covered under my Insurance Plan that I have purchased.
This is again a big baseless reason. In the past, a friend of mine has already claimed expenses of a medical treatment with IMG with the same Service Provider and now for me they are saying that this service provider is not covered under my insurance plan.
They have rejected my claim and are asking me to submit an appeal, which i have already done, but they are not responding to that appeal.
I tried calling their customer care multiple times but it keeps going to their voicemail and nobody is answering after waiting for 15+ minutes for their customer care representatives.
A very bad experience for me overall and I am loosing out on a medical expense even after being covered by an insurance policy. 🙁

HORRIBLE COMPANY.

The people in this insurance company are absolutely useless.

Ok so, first of all, I'm from Ukraine, I am currently displaced due to the situation in the country and, these people in IMG are making my life even harder.

I got my policy, back in January before the conflict started, for one year.

The summary of my whole terrible experience with this company, after going back and forth the last 2 months is that,

So, the banking system in Ukraine is just not working,
but I did have a Russian bank account inside Russia, yeah? Because of the sanctions, IMG said they can't wire money to Russia or ukraine.

Ok........

So, I had to try really hard and get a EU bank account. OK done. I sent them the details, and it's been one month and, they just can't review my claims and close them.

I've wrote them several emails and, they just don't care.

In a period of 4 months they've done absolutely nothing for me. What am I paying for 2000 dollars per year?

Here's the funny thing.

I've got 3 outpatient claims for myself, and maybe they owe me 200 euros.

and... they don't have the decency to at least review my claims, or to even settle them.

Absolutely disgusting.

Stay away from this company, NOT REALIABLE AT ALL.

Imagine, if they can't settle a claim for 200 euros, what can you expect when someone needs surgery or has an accident?

IMG Europe is the worst health insurance I ever had. In 7 years of membership I had 4 claims. Not one of them they payed in full.
2 they didn't pay at all, and of the other 2 they only payed a fraction. They always, as a standard, refuse payment at first, and then maybe pay a very small amount, if they can't wiggle themselves out of not paying at all. They have the most ridicolous small print, so be very aware! For example, I had an accident, and was transported to the emergency room. (covered in full by my plan) I claimed for it, and they refused to pay full, said I would have to contact them first, to get their approval. So in other words, when you are almost dying, stop the ambulance, call IMG -if you get somebody to answer the phone that is- and ask if they will cover ...unbelievable, but true!! Then I sent in the bill from the ambulance, the day I received it. IMG again refused to pay, reason: not submitted in time. Again, difficult to believe, but true.
Of course I termitated my membership now, because it's no point. It's like having no insurance at all, as you will have to pay all, or at least most part of your bills yourself! Better save the money you would pay for your membership, you will need it, as you will have to pay most bills out of your own pocket.

Had a hospital visit in the UAE due to a skin tear on my head after bumping hard on a metal rod. Got 7 stitches. IMG denied the claim suggesting it was a “pre-existing condition” ?. What a joke. Fighting the decision. You won’t get rid of me so easily. ?

I got img for everything and was on the bronze package. I read that it covered me for dentist and that if I had to have a normal procedure I would have to pay a excess and that's it. Then after confirmed from 3 of their collegeues that it was included in my plan. When I did claim 600 euro they denied my claim and told me I would of needed to pay for an extra for dentist. Just cancelled my contract. You are a hoax and liars. Dont use this company. Trust me , you will be saving your phone credit and your patience and stress levels will go higher .

I chose them for long travelling in South America from 2013 to 2016 and they were always great and helpful. During my long trip I was robbed, I got dengue and was hospitalised, had to do x-rays, etc. and they provided for everything. Recommended
