I instructed this team of sharks to sell my business back in 2013. I made one payment of £7000 pounds to them and then asked them to put the project on immediate hold whilst we sorted out some internal matters in the company.
We decided in the end not to sell the company so I asked that they refund at least part of the initial payment since no significant work had been done on our file. When I took the matter further with them, they threatened to charge us the full amount of milestone payments (Totalling in the region of £50,000) plus their commission on the sale of the company if we ever decided to sell it in the future with somebody else!!
Please be very careful when dealing with this firm. Their charges are outrageous and I would urge anyone to use a different broker who charge much lower up front fees and are far more reasonable. BCMS claim their up front charges are done at cost price but this is absolute nonsense and it is completely dishonest of them to claim otherwise. They charge a huge amount up front and then sit pretty if the deal goes pear shape because they have already made a huge profit for no success.
