Have had for 2 years. Had to submit a claim for my 80+ year old mother and have been waiting since November to get boat fixed.
Insure4Boats is trading name under Ripe insurers. MAC Claims does the claims procedure and they put it through the underwriters Travelers.

No one helps you in Insure4Boats/Ripe so you are left to do everything with claim. You would need to be a psychic to provided answers to buckets of questions after you submit the claim. Then it sits with Travelers who have a backlog so no estimated date or what is the major issue?

Meanwhile the boat is awaiting repair and out of use for past four months. They have been sending emails about would recommend to friends as "Good things are worth sharing". I can't do that, so sharing otherwise.

Wouldn’t recommend make a phone call and they charge you 20 pounds every time without consent

I can solidly say I4b is awesome. They where professional through my insurance claim and kept me informed at all stages..the surveyor was professional and thorough and kept me informed of what was happening. I cannot fault them in the slightest. I can only speak on my experience but that was positive and my boat gets to live another day thanks to them.

Absolutely HORRENDOUS!! They ignore your emails, renewal quotes after being a loyal customer for over 4 years are ridiculously high, then they have the audacity to tell you they ignore emails with documents attached! The customer service is just well, I have NO words.

I must say 'thank you' to Insure4Boats and, in particular, Gary for their customer service. There was a little confusion initially with his colleagues about whether they could insure an inflatable tender, but this was resolved quickly and efficiently following a phone conversation with Gary. He provided me me with a tailor-made, competitive quote and went on to offer a competitive figure for my caravan insurance as well.

This is the first time that I've used Insure4Boats on-line and was generally very impressed with the service, the insurance cover provided , value for money and the overall professionalism provided. I would have given 5 stars not 4 but there was an issue with the website which didn't apply the 10% discount included in the quote when I went to purchase the insurance. However, this was very quickly rectified by a quick phone call to the team who addressed the issue professionally and quickly . Overall a great first experience !! Would recommend .
