After many years of using Intasure, tried to renew online and despite many messages and phone conversations, problem not sorted with their website. Their only solution was to give them my bank details over the phone which I was not prepared to do. Don't try and ring them near the 7pm and expect anyone to answer.

Thought I should write a review as my experience as been very good. Only docked 1 star to make it 4 stars, because there are more expensive.... but reason I still think they're decent is that they very straightforwardly paid a fair amount out for roof repairs on our holiday home, and also because they are different to other policies I looked at in that they don't require regular checks (eg every 60 days) of an empty holiday home, they only require a check once a year for the location of our property, plus by my understanding their legal cover does cover for legal proceedings in the event of squatters getting access.... so more expensive but better covered in my experience.

After looking at their website, their map shows that Northern Ireland is covered as it is highlighted in yellow. Called and was then told no they do not cover N.I, girl was quite rude and was told Northern Ireland is not part of the UK, clearly didn’t take geography classes at school.
Please update you map to show N.I is actually NOT included to save people wasting their time.

They seem great - till you make a claim. It’s been almost 6 months and still no conclusion - the general approach is to just do nothing till you chase all their partners and then it creeps on. Ask a question and they just say “don’t know” or infuriatingly just go silent on the end of the phone. Don’t go near them.

It took 131 days from making a successful claim to work starting on my property, for which I had an Instasure Holiday Home policy. Intasure and their partners dragged their heels at every stage of the process, despite the serious nature of the oil leak, and I only ever got the attention I required after making 2 formal complaints. The work on my property took months and I was asked to pay for equipment such as electric heaters out of pocket to ensure the pipes wouldn't freeze over winter, for which they then took 57 days to reimburse me. The property was uninhabitable for more than half a year (no hot water, toxic oil fumes, ripped out kitchen), but this insurance policy paid out £0 in compensation and wormed their way out of their 'lost income' clause. The whole process was traumatic, and for the extra kick-in the teeth Intasure made me renew my policy during their works at a much higher premium because I'd made a claim. Sickening service.

Customer with multiple properties with them over many years. Premium tripled this year (!) and at the same time as level of cover decreased (!!) . Explained this over the phone and on email. No explanation provided in response. Not even a courtesy email or phone call.

I applied for a quote via Go Compare. Intasure advised I would get a phone call.
The next morning I received a call. When I answered the line was dead. The next time I received a call a man asked for my surname and whether the policy would incept within 30 days. I provided the information. He then said he would transfer me to his boss, which he did.
I hung on the phone for 3 minutes before killing the call.
Why phone me if you have no-one to transfer me to?
Whose idea of Customer Service is this? Certainly not mine.
Reading the other reviews which look authentic, and with my "experience" I won't be using this company!

Intasure had no problem offering me a combined household insurance policy in 2020 on a house they knew was built in the early 1900s. They never sent anyone over to inspect it before they made a decision and were informed at the time that a thorough survey on the house came back with no reported issues. Two weeks ago, they declined a claim relating to damages caused to my roof by storm Babet in October, citing general 'wear and tear' as the cause of the damage. What was rather poor was their attempt to back up their decision by arguing that there was not enough damage to neighbouring properties to suggest that the storm was indeed the cause of the damage to my roof. Having been their customer since 2016, I now deeply regret the £££s I spent on their premium, which would have been enough to cover at least half the cost of the roof replacement bill that I now have to foot either way.
