Our experience was excellent from the start, from Lesley's extremely efficient, flexible and friendly viewing arrangement process. This was followed by a wonderful introduction to the property by Paul who was so well informed about the property, the neighbourhood and made us feel very reassured as newcomers to the city.

Renting a flat from this company was an unpleasant experience from which it will take a long time to emotionally recover. For the first weekend we moved in we had no electricity because no-one at the agency could tell us where the electricity cupboard was located. This was in a cold February so we were freezing cold and had no access to hot water. The oven was absolutely filthy and so I asked the agency if it could be professionally cleaned and got no answer. This forced me to pay for this at my own cost. When the cleaner arrived he said the oven was one of the worst ovens he has ever seen! He also pointed out that it was not safe and shouldn't be used. We informed the agency and waited weeks living on microwave meals while they sorted a replacement. I was also told they would reimburse us for the oven cleaning which never happened.
Over the next few months despite our best efforts to keep the flat like a show home various fixtures and fittings needed repairing.
1. The ancient bathroom fan broke meaning the noise of the fan kept us up all night for weeks
2. The kitchen light switch broke meaning the light had to stay on continually wasting electricity
3. The ancient washing machine developed a fault nearly flooding the flat
4. The taps in the kitchen didn't run properly meaning every time we needed to wash up we had to boil the kettle for hot water
5. The shower head broke so we had to hold the shower head up every time we tried to use it
6. Being situated near a river meant the flat had serious condensation problem so we had to constantly repaint walls and buy expensive dehumidifiers I also believe the condensation and mould was detrimental to my health.
We let joliffe faking (sic) know of all these issues and was treated with general disdain, indifference or rudeness.
They lied to us, fobbed us off and treated us like criminals. Do not make the mistake I did of thinking they will treat you any differently .

I would not recocommend this agent at all. They acted for us 6-9 months ago and we advertised our property and we had many offers. We decided to not sell and remain where we was. During our remortgage, the bank requested Jolliffe Daking to do the valuation. They decided that our property was £100k lower than when we sold it 9 months ago? Incompetent doesn’t come close to describe them! How can a 5 bedroom luxury property go down by 100k a year later. Every other agent confirmed they were wrong. We had to pay for a new valuation that didn’t agree with them and this was an additional cost to us! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

DON’T TRUST THIS AGENCY!! I had a very bad experience with them I do not recommend. Make sure you look for a different agency or you will lose money with them .

This company has incompetent staff. I have booked to see one property, came to this property, was waiting for someone to come and show it- but no one came. I've called them and asking how long I need to wait, and they wasn't aware about this. They even didn't noted in their system about this showroom. They even didn't have my contact details. And when I asked them about that property - they told me that it is already letted. Bad service, bad personnel. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Waste of time and nerves.

Rented a bungalow for my father for a year. The whole process, from the initial enquiry to returning the keys, was excellent. Customer service was always very good and they always respond quickly and efficiently to our queries and requests for repairs, which incidentally were minor. I would definitely use Jolliffe Daking again if the need arose and I would highly recommend them as a letting agent.

Absolutely the best !! Both David Buttery and Simon Holditch were very helpful from day one with regards to selling my late father in law property, which took less than a week to sell, we were kept well informed every step of the way. Thankyou in what's been a very difficult time us all ,we do appreciate it.
