Beware, Key Currency Limited " KCL" hide their commission rates in fx rates and refuse to confirm commission taken. I found KCL help themselves to extortionate commission; I was robbed and so were others if you read the negative reviews on here/Trust Pilot which are the reviews I believe you should trust. However, I have seen a number of negative reviews about KCL have disappeared from Trust Pilot! and I have seen that this scam is ongoing. Also many of the positive reviews in my opinion are questionable. I would guess negative reviews on Google are also disappearing. I therefore personally would not believe the Key Currency star rating;

KCL have the cheek to promote their services as "transparent" on their website when they are anything but transparent.

Following proceeds from the sale of a property in Ireland, I unfortunately did a very large Euro- GBP fx deal with KCL.

30 mins after the Fx deal was done,
I discovered the FX rate KCL gave me was hugely less favourable than competitors even banks! due to the
extortionate commission they unfairly helped themselves to!!. I therefore lost a lot of money. KCL did not offer to reverse the fx deal even though I made it abundantly clear over and over again that I was very unhappy with the fx rate (brought down by their enormous commission deduction) and there was no fluctuations in the market the following day.

I found KCL's only interest was the commission! They did not treat me fairly as a customer and as a result I lost a lot of money and according to the negative reviews so have others.

KCL offered a settlement of £2,200 which is derisory as they cheated me out of a lot more money due to extortionate commission. They also added a caveat that I remove my current online reviews and not upload any future reviews.
I turned down their offer! I have a moral obligation to warn others.

Please be careful and read the negative reviews.

In general FX brokers are regulated by the FCA.However, and unfortunately, commission is not regulated by the FCA. This needs to change! In addition the disclosure of commission should be made mandatory!

Contact your MP and ask he/she to lobby government for commission to be regulated by the FCA and for the disclosure of commission to become mandatory prior to an fx deal being agreed.

This will stop dishonest FX brokers ripping customers off with extortionate commission and muddying the waters for fx brokers who treat customers fairly.

DO NOT DO AN FX DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU RECEIVE CONFIRMATION OF COMMISSION IN WRITING BEFOREHAND. HOWEVER MY STRONG ADVICE IS THAT YOU GO ELSEWHERE AS I FOUND KCL TO BE COMPLETELY UNTRUSTWORTHY.

I dealt with Kieran W. on 2 occasions this year for 2 transactions. Kieran was top -notch in his approach to dealing with me as his client, even when on the 2nd occasion, my deal was for a fairly small amount, Kieran was still dedicated to my query and treated me with the highest regard, I was so impressed.
