I bought an Approved used Mercedes car from a MB Dealership. I was told it came with 7 day complimentary insurance cover. The salesman gave me a website to obtain this. Lloyd Lachfords website listed eligibility criteria. I met all of these. I was refused insurance. They would not tell me why. One criteria was I must be aged between 17 and 84 years. I am 79. I reapplied using exactly the same data except changing my age to 67. I was immediately given cover. They refused to help further.

Honestly, absolutely awful customer service. They DO NOT provide imported car insurance but it took them 25 minutes of me waiting on hols after giving them all my details to tell me this. It's actually laughable. The people who work there clearly have absolutely no knowledge of cars.... Don't waste your time.

CHECK YOUR INSURANCE IF TOU DRIVE A VOLVO via their CARE BY VOLVO subscription.
This company LLOYD LATCHFORD cancelled my Care by Volvo Insurance policy in January this year with no prior notice to either myself or Volvo UK. Volvo had appointed a new company to manage Care by Volvo Insurance but Lloyd Latchford sent no notice to any connected party. The car was compounded on 24th March by the police and recovery of the vehicle today will cost £556 and a fine of £300 plus 6 pts with insurance quotes affected for 5 years for driving without insurance. This was an auto renewal policy which placed the onus on the driver to cancel- not the other way round. Lloyd Latchford customer services say this is not their responsibility. BEWARE THIS COMPANY.

As one other reviewer commented, if one could give minus stars, I would too. How this company gets to trade under the Mercedes name is a total joke and mystery. From replaying the SAME legals to you upon telephoning them, taking up 3.30 of ones time by two of the worst voice actors to receiving emails with basic coding errors, I sincerely do not know how the directors of the company can tie their own shoe laces. When one emails the company, the auto email reply is full of programming and coding errors that I wonder how the company can run without failure.

By far the most useless insurance company I've ever used. I had a specialist driving tuition policy and on having a straight forward non-fault accident, they took 13 days to even arrange for my undriveable car to be removed for repair and 17 days to provide me with a dual controlled courtesy car. This car is my livelihood and they cost me almost 3 weeks work despite paying a premium for a specialist policy. Avoid at all costs

Fortunately, first time I have had a need to call the claims department. Very professional, helpful and understanding member of staff appear to be at the other end of a phone call. Often Insurance companies do not have the right kind of people in the claims department and that can leave a person feeling short changed and anxious. I'm sorry I didn't ask the name of the lady who dealt with my query, but I am grateful for your reassurance. and I am delighted I am covered by this exceptional service provider.

Awful. "Lets me check if we will insure your area" (dartford) no details exchanged on car or personal etc but "it'll be a minimum of £680". How? You've got no details.
