This company is an absolute rip off my daughter changed her car for the same make and model and engine size only approximately 2 years older i bought her the car because it had done very little mileage and they wanted nearly £400.00 just to type in a different reg number even the colour was the same.
very disappointed and will never be using these rip off merchants again.

They are a terrible insurance. I’ve only just signed up with them. I had a 2 years no claims bonus they put it as a 1 year no claims bonus and then changed it to a 2 year one and then made my insurance go higher. They are very greedy on payments they applied a £25 default charge before my payment was even due. Then sent me 2 emails threatening to cancel my policy both mistakes on their behalf first one was I sent my proof of ID and no claims then they said not received them but I sent it to 2 different emails then in the end they did find it but sent a cancellation email. The second time. The payment wasn’t missed gone through but there was issues with the direct debit again on their behalf And they sent me a 7 day cancellation after even though they had recieved the money for my policy. AVOID!!! Unfortunately I’m with them for another 8 months but I will be switching after. I might cancel before because my insurance I can get it way way cheaper else where. They are nothing but greedy wouldn’t even give them one star if it was an option. The woman was also very rude on the phone her name was Megan

I received a Red journey warning today and it’s totally unfair… I went to the airport as a passenger and needed to use my Bluetooth and phone to make a call. I now have a warning which means if I receive another one in this month I will get fined. I spoke on the phone and they told me they cannot remove this warning even though I wasn’t the driver… how could this be fair. The black box is very sensitive and at times even when driving well, it gives faults. If you’re a new driver I would suggest to not go with marmalade as I am now on the “bottom 30%” of drivers for something I didn’t even do..

Absolutely terrible company. I would cancel if I thought I would get any money back. I can't wait until my renewal date comes and I can change to a new insurer.

Black box records drives and then randomly marks some as red and they send threatening emails about how you are on a 30 day notice and may have to pay more money. This has happened to me twice. Once for driving normally in rain and more recently for my boyfriend using his phone while I was driving. I phoned to ask them to remove and they told me they couldn't. I asked to make a complaint and all of a sudden they could remove the 30 day notice period.

In summary avoid at all costs. I will happily pay more next time to avoid this company. This was my second insurance policy and I seriously regret changing.

This company is an absolute joke, I managed to get a red journey removed 3 days ago due to other drivers fault but they said one more red journey and it’s a £250 fine. The last 3 days I have been driving like a grandad only to get a red journey yesterday for braking acceleration and cornering. My braking was rated poorly for dropping 13mph in 3.5 seconds and going round a roundabout at 17 miles an hour is too quick if I drive slower it would be dangerous. Plus my car is a 1.0L so how does it pick up speed too quickly.
SO FOR THIS MONTH I HAVE TO PAY £375 FOR DRIVING SAFELY
I have been driving extremely safely and I have been especially cautious because I didn’t want to pay a fine yet I still got one.
I WOULD BE HALF TEMPTED TO TAKE IT TO COURT BUT I KNOW I WOULDNT GET MY MONEY BACK FROM THIS HORRENDOUS COMPANY!
Find a different insurance company as soon as possible trust me

10/10, fantastic insurance. Best price for me at the time 2 years ago when I used them for learner insurance, ended the policy 2 years ago. Just rang back to them to retrieve my no-claims evidence and instantly provided with it hassle-free. Brilliant service and would highly recommend to any learner driver.

I cant fault them on the price for my first and second year of insurance as it beat any competion that I looked at but there is one major issue with there black box insurance that they offer that makes me wish i could afford other insurance. The problem i have is that the black box is overly sensitive compared to other companys and when your sole focus is new and young drivers there driving quailty will be worse and less consistent than more experinced drivers and yet you still get there "red journey" if you make too many mistakes while driving. This wouldnt be such a big issue except if you get two red jorneys in one month you will get a fine which i believe is £175 or near that. As a young driver who has made some mistakes its alot of momey to start handing over at 17,18 or 19 and from that the fines get higher. So my issue is that they are exploiting the lack of driving experince of young drivers to make more money off of them. If this does get viewed by somone on the marmalade team i would like some feedback on this.
