What a fantastic experience with Toby Bain at Matheson Charles!

Toby has not only looked after my personal finances successfully for several years, but in recent times I have been thrilled to recommend Matheson Charles to family and friends as well. The experience has been consistently superb.

Toby is deeply knowledgeable, analytical, calm and clear, providing exceptionally practical as well as extremely insightful financial advice second to none.

It is also interesting to note that my small spread of investments includes one other (nationally known) IFA. After a recent annual review, and despite their ‘long-experienced, expert fund managers’ compared to Matheson Charles’ intelligently ‘evidence based’ investment strategy, even with current challenging worldwide financial circumstances I came to realise that Matheson Charles have already exceeded their return in a relatively much shorter timescale. Really quite astonishing.

I also introduced a close friend to them, having received a small inheritance, unsure what best to do, afterwards he explained what a pleasure Toby is to work with, thrilled with the amazing advice my friend thanked me in person for becoming a client – having achieved his dream of almost instant, early retirement!

He also pointed out another valuable benefit; since Toby and Jack are younger than us, yet remarkably experienced and knowledgeable for their years, they’ll be able to look after things for us for the rest of time.

Furthermore, as a true illustration of Matheson Charles deep integrity, I most recently recommended my niece, confident that a tax-free ISA would suit her needs well. After a patient, well-considered and amazingly helpful meeting with Toby, Amy left delighted with the professional advice which, even despite my own amateur nod towards an ISA being the ‘right’ thing to do, Toby carefully and meticulously weighed up all aspects to happily conclude the most appropriate outcome for Amy was, in fact, to remain with her present savings strategy, and *not* to make a separate investment on this present occasion at all! Amazing and superb professional advice, provided with nothing to Matheson Charles' own financial gain whatsoever.
