Absolutely superb bank and service.
After 32 years I finally had enough with Barclays, the branch closures and poor personal service so have opened up a new business account with Metro. The Merry Hill branch is open till 5pm Mon to Fri and they actually have several cashier's available. It is also possible to telephone the branch and speak to real people!
We are going to see how it goes with Metro for a few months and then move all our accounts from Barclays to Metro- and we have a considerably amount of money in our Barclays accounts.
The only nearby Barclays is Kidderminster and one of the staff there told me a few weeks ago that she feared the branch closing and was looking for jobs elsewhere!
Metro Bank may have had issues last year but in my opinion are the future of banking in the UK.
Not everyone is Internet obsessed and older people especially want personal service with a human being when banking.
At the moment I cannot recommend Metro Bank enough and a big thank you to Connor and Harry who dealt with opening my new business account 👍

We joined this bank as they promised banking 7 days a week 24 hours a day when they first opened in Merry Hill Centre Dudley West Midlands now all of a sudden with no consultation it's only open Monday - Friday 9-5pm which is no use to me as these are the hours I work. Even the drive thru says 7 days a week gone over on a Saturday and no one available 🙃

Disgraceful treatment of customers. If you want your bank balance shouted out across the entire bank for all ears to hear by all means go here if that is acceptable to you then when you complain to senior management you are made to feel you are in the wrong and they just stick up for their colleagues. Extremely bad attitude. Going elsewhere where I will be treated with more respect. Staff in question who call themselves managers Louise Kemp and Kiran

Was refused service by rude assistant manager Pete Southall. He approached me and straight away grab the money bag without introducing himself. I was like who the hell are you grabbing my money without asking me first. This guy need proper training anyone with a bit of brain will not do this to anyone. I was trying to use coin machine he said I need to check your coins. I said isn’t coin machine designed to detect damage or fake coin? He said no really I am sure these machines are designed to not accept any fake or damage coin.
