Mortgage Anxiety Bureau!

Dealing with Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB) has been the worst experience of my life. They claim to offer professional mortgage advice, but all they do is take your money and leave you hanging. Not only did they mess up my mortgage application, but they also managed to get my mortgage offer DECLINED from a lender that another broker later secured without any issues WITHIN ONE WEEK. They wasted 3 weeks of mine and came back saying the application is declined. So clearly, the problem was with them, not the lender!

Their service is a complete joke. After taking their fee, they disappeared – no follow-up, no courtesy call, nothing. I tried contacting them multiple times to discuss my case, and they couldn't even be bothered to respond.

My case officer Samantha Stevens disappeared in the thin air faster than the water vaporises after boiling. Her colleague Kate Fuller (or owner of branch, god knows) told me with such a joking sway that I can COMPLAIN to THEIR central team if I feel like. They do not even have the courtesy to call you back even it they want to finish the business off. I don’t understand how did they manage to grow their business with such a ‘GREAT’ attitude.

I highly suspect they are just in the business of scamming people, with no intention of doing the job properly. If you value your time, money, and sanity, STAY AWAY from Mortgage Advice Bureau! There are far better, more competent brokers out there who actually care about getting the job done right.

My suggestion is if you want to be in a business with them, don’t pay them straight off. Tell them you’ll pay them after the application is approved, because a lot of better people out there do it this way and is acceptable by majority of brokers.

Save yourself the headache and avoid MAB like the plague. They aren’t really superhumans who would do charm for your application. Instead their waiting time is catastrophic. Go for faster players like Habito or an independent broker. Save yourself from the headache of to-and-fro follow-ups and baseless declines. DON’T GO FOR THEM SPECIFICALLY IF YOU ARE A FIRST TIME BUYER.
