Cancelled a policy after changing vans, charged £50.00 admin fee. This was reduced to £20.00 which i still find unfair. Ridiculous. Go to caravan guard, over £100 cheaper for identical cover.

Incompetent staff and over priced.

I took out an insurance package and discovered after my 30 day cancellation period that I had been charge around 35% to 40% more than most other insurance companies.

I had also been told via EMAIL that my cover would not be effective as there was documentation missing. Why was this not captured during the initial application process

Do not take out an insurance package with Motor Direct | A-Plan Insurance unless you want poor quality and poor value.....

Have multiple policies with motor direct car /motobike and household we have been with them for years and they have always gone the extra mile when finding competitive rates and this takes the hassle out of doing it yourself.
Any issues are dealt with immediately and you can actually go and speak to a human being and have a cup of tea at there offices

This company is really helpful and go above and beyond to help out where they can. I was trying to add a friend to my policy for a short while, and it was only the underwriter that wouldn't grant it, so they offered a temporary policy at a slightly higher cost, but it worked fine!

I absolutely dread renewal time, having to speak to a bunch of scripted, uninterested, unhelpful human beings but APlan were very different! Firstly you can get straight through to someone without having to listen to boring automated options then you get to speak to someone who is friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in getting you the best deal even at quarter to 5 on a Friday afternoon! Jacob got me a fantastic deal on my daily and my classic car, beating my renewal quotes by a considerable amount (I'm actually paying less now for 2 cars than I was for one!). I cannot reccomend these guys enough, make sure you give them a try when it comes to your renewal ?
