I had the most dreadful experience with Laurie Wier of Murphy Scholar. I own the top conversation and they let the bottom for their client. Roof needed renewed which is shared. Had to use their contractor as they came in cheaper - they also are subcontractors for the owner of bottom flat - they left roof unprotected which caused severe damage to my property. It happens, but they sent me an horrendous email threatening ME with legal action if their property was damaged. I could go on about how awful it was and the follow up emails but don’t have enough space. This happened 1 1/2 yrs ago and it still stresses me. Avoid.

Everyone be aware of this agent and the staff are so unfriendly and stuck up. Their customer service is unbelievable! They will rip you off by charging you unfair amounts of money for varies reasons that isn’t even your fault.
You can’t do anything right with this company. If you pay a deposit you can assure that you won’t get a penny back.
You get charged for general stuff like not hoovered or bathroom is filthy (one hair in the bathroom) Just pathetic!
If someone else breaks an outdoor lock you will be charged for it. They don’t care about someone’s safety and have no clue about health and security law. If you report something faulty they will find something to charge it back to you, e.g “reported too late” reporting one day later was too late for them, so they charged me for the job. Although I emailed them about it. They didn’t even understand the email I sent them and got everything totally wrong. So they charged for that too. Really they are a rip off company. Stay away from them!!!!

We phoned to enquire about a property that is for rent, the staff member was quite rude on the phone. I explained the house that I was interested in, she asked me to hold on - I was then transferred to someone else and explained again. This girl asked me all about my age, salary and was quite snappy with me. She advised that I would not be a suitable candidate, did not suggest any other properties and the call ended. I would not touch this agent anyway now based on the way my enquiry was handled. I came off the phone feeling like I had been grilled and had to justify myself. Don't bother.
