We had a terrible fire ripe through our house that night, my wife and our four young children narrowly escaped with our lives, thank God.
We had never delt with our insurance company before other than for a damaged pool liner during a storm. We lost every material item that we ever owned, I mean everything.
About six days after the fire we met with our insurance adjuster. He made us feel very stressed and anxious and lonely and filled our minds with uncertainty. After our meeting my wife and I looked at each other, hugged each other tightly and agreed that, that adjuster was not our friend and that we were going to need professional help to deal with our loss.
The following day I received a call from a guy named Frank. A day later we met with Frank and his co-worker Angelo from the National Fire Adjustment Co in Stoney Creek. About three days later we met on our property with a team of public adjusters, contents specialists, building evaluation specialists and there vise president all from the National Fire Adjustment Co.
Our file was put on the desk of a guy named Dax Conley, who designed a plan to move forward and alleviate our painful dealings with the insurance company. Dax was a great person to deal with, he educated us through the entire process. Dax Conley was there for us, he supported us in every way possible and made us feel like friends. Our contents specialist was a guy by the name Colin Poag. Colin came to our house everyday for a week at 8am and sifted through the charred rubble and ashes in 85 degree heat of the summer for hours to search for even the smallest sentimental item. Colin continued to work with us and made in person house calls weekly until the contents loss was complete.
These guys and this team of public adjusters from National Fire Adjustment Co are second to none. We didn't know what to expect, how could we. We are so grateful for the time and care and the effort they applied to this particular family. From our family, to the family of the NFA. THANK YOU ?

The horrors of enduring a house fire is an event one prepares for, but never expects that it would ever happen. Friends of mine advised me of the NFA and suggested that I call. Frank was quick to do a site visit. Dax was my ever in my back pocket, always ready to listen or give wise counsel. It stll was a tremendously horrific experience, but knowing the NFA has expereince in navigating insurance laws, it kind of softened the blow, so to speak. It still cost me a really pretty penny to hire the NFA, but I do believe I came out on top.
