I had my spray foam removed k, and when I looked at it was not sure if it would pass a home buyer report so i looked for an independent surveyor to check over the work for me . I explained my situation to a surveyor i spoke to and he recommended Adam Wallis to me. I got in touch with him and he said he could do a survey on Wednesday a couple of days later and agreed as was expecting a couple of weeks delay. Adam called me on the day to say he was on is way but running a little bit late due to traffic out of London. Adam explained some remedial work need to be carried out and he would send me a detailed report the next day.
I would just like thank Adam for his excellent survey report and speedy service he provided for me. I used the report to get the work completed although the company was reluctant stating it would pass. Highly recommend Adam Wallis should you need a survey carried out.

Adam recently carried out a Damp and Timber survey at my elderly parents' cottage. He was extremely polite, respectful and accommodating towards them. His knowledge of this area was exceptional , and he delivered exactly what we had discussed . He also submitted the report to myself within 24 hours of his visit. All in all, I was very impressed and would highly recommend Adam to others. Thank you Adam.

Adam did a fantastic job with a damp inspection. I had, had a level 3 survey on a Victorian house purchase. It was vague and quite condemning of the place. As my house is empty at the moment I decided to get an independent inspection to see if the result matched with the original survey which I thought was wrong. Adam was very thorough explaining all points of the inspection he did find a few small spots of damp but not the generalisation of “the walls have damp”.
I know some of the simple remedies now and how poor my original home survey was.
Adam was courteous, clean and tidy and thorough. It is well worth the money.

I honestly forgot to write this review... but perhaps it's better coming 2yrs after the work was carried out because it gives an honest showcase further down the line of Adams survey and subsequent recommendations. To put it mildly we had a horrendous case of damp, but after instructing Adam, I am happy to report that 2yrs down the line it's still all fabulous and dry ... we followed his recommendations to the letter and have had no more problems with our severe case of damp.... it's fixed/sorted/obliterated/disappeared/gone... hurrah.... and on top of his knowledge and expertise, he's a nice chap that clearly loves his job... plus, he treated me the way I'd like my Mother to be treated and respected. Would I recommend him? Yes, a hundredtimes over... thank you Adam, going forward, I'll recommend you to family and friends. A great big thank you... Mr Master Surveyor Extraordinaire!

I attended the damp surveying masterclass with Adam Wallis on 13th January in Colchester, and could not recommend it highly enough for anyone wanting to learn more about this subject.
Adam is extremely knowledgeable and has a wealth of experience to share. In addition, he is also a friendly and approachable bloke. I can say with certainty that I am a better surveyor after attending this workshop.

We had effervescence showing between tiles in the floor of an extension. The source of the dampness was unclear but the most likely solution would involve taking out cabinetry and digging up the floor. We engaged with Adam Wallis of Neil Marsden to come and undertake a survey to establish what action we needed to take. When Adam arrived he undertook a thorough investigation and was not willing to simply pick the most likely cause he wanted to be absolutely certain of the reason for the dampness. He took the time and discovered the cause which was not obvious. He then advised on how we needed to address the issue and meant that the floor did not have to come up and as a result potentially saving us thousands of pounds.
Adam's thoroughness and professionalism were exceptional. He took us through the investigation as it was being conducted and was clear about the implications. Hopefully we won't need his services again but if we did we would not hesitate to use him again.

Adam has been a godsend to us with our auction property renovation as we didn’t know where to start or how to rectify an abundance of damp issues. He is professional, friendly and extremely knowledgable. Even since receiving his report, he has kindly spoken with me twice since, once for an hour video call, to explain how best to install products he’d recommended and make sure I understood everything and why he’d suggested certain products and materials. We instructed Adam to carry out a damp and timber survey on a fairly old house we are buying as required by our mortgage provider.
