Appalling...do not waste your money.My vets use an out of hours emergency service but Now refused to pay for that part of my claim deeming it not life threatening and stating they don't cover emergency out of hours!! ...the vet wanted to see my dog immediately, concerned as he had a post op infection which smelt horrendous.
Will not renew and would not recommend.

Don't deal with this company. Had pet insurance for a dog. Received by email with renewal details and as I wanted to go elsewhere sent an email saying that I did not want to continue with insurance. I then rang and explained that I did not want to continue with insurance and was asked if they could do anything for me. The guy said he would ring me the next day but no phone call. I then received another email saying that the insurance had been renewed 3 days before it had run out. I then cancelled my direct debit before they could take the money.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS INSURANCE COMPANY!!!!!!!!!
Paid into this for year and as soon as my dog had bills for cancer they declined paying out because of a tiny spot on her back she has had all her life, 9 years later this could have been the route cause for the cancer they say.

Absolutely awful company. Paid over £700 / year and then when I needed to claim for an acute illness, they had excluded ‘anything related to ears’ and ‘anything related to skin’, purely because my dog has allergies. The claim wasn’t related to anything to do with this… don’t go near this company!

In response to their comment back, the policy is under the name Bethan Jones and I’ve already emailed to complain - no surprise that I haven’t had a reply!

It seems to me this company will do anything to get out of paying a claim. They wouldn't pay for my dog to have his a.glands removed when he had a serious blockage. They said that having his glands expressed on a regular basis made it a pre-existing condition. Even my dog's vet disagreed with them because expression is done to help a dog keep healthy, not because they have an illness or condition.
Also, when I renewed at the time my dog was about to have surgery, the salesperson didn't even tell me then that my dog wouldn't be covered upon renewal for anything relating to his glands. At that point, Now Pet Insurance knew that my dog was about to have the operation. If they had been honest at that point, it would have been something. But no, the salesperson actually told me that I could continue to claim for the condition on the renewed policy as long as I was aware that I had to pay the excess again.
After complaining, unsurprisingly, they came back with their vague policy wording from their 32-page document and skirted around the issue of mis-selling the renewal of their policy, avoiding giving me an answer at all.
Now Pet Insurance will take your money, but be very careful of their unspecified exclusions because, in my experience, their policy is not worth anything at all.

Scam insurance, because my dog was overweight they won't pay out a claim. Which had nothing to do with his weight. He got bitten or stung and his foot was swollen like a club and infected....clearly not an over weight issue...so landed with a 2.5 k bill....I'll be taking it further....so if your pet isn't ideal weight cancel your insurance your paying for nothing.

Fantastic customer service, wanted to change my name after marriage. Bona did this with no bother and offered to add my husband to the policy. Bona also congratulated me on my marriage which was lovely.

Absolutely Disgusted!!! Total Con they will only pay half the vets invoice! Apparently when your dog needs a life saving operation Fluids and Anesthetic aren't necessary!!!
My wife and myself have 4x Policy's with Now Pet Insurance and spend over £1000 a year on premiums, so when we discovered our beautiful Newfoundland Bailey had a strange lump under her belly we rushed her to our vets the next morning. We were told it felt like a rather nasty Mammary Tumour that was actually far larger than we had realised, so with that and the advise from the vet she was operated on the next morning. With £5000 cover on Baileys Insurance policy we thought it would be covered and paid for no bother. The bill came too £2469.06 so had to pay and max out my Credit Card, However after 4 emails and eventually 2 online chats nearly 4 weeks later I was told that Now Pets would pay the claim and I would be notified within the next 5 working days. The next day I was notified, Now Pets said they would only pay £1382.39 (" What") so the reason for this was they said Bailey didn't need ( Pre operative bloods) didn't need ( Fluid Therapy during operation ) didn't need ( General Anesthetic) and ( post opp Medication)!!! This is absolutely outrageous!!
In addition they said they wouldn't pay for any further Preventative treatment or procedure! In there words they said that these treatments and procedures are classed as Cosmetic/ Elective so is not covered by our insurance policy. What an absolute joke so now left with Credit Card Debit and 4x Waste of time insurance policies with (Now Pet don't pay insurance)
I have sent an email a week ago to the 3 various departments at Now Pet Insurance and had no response what so ever. I have contacted my Vet and a family solicitor because this is disgusting and basically animal cruelty! Shame on you all at Now pet insurance.
