I've Known my Financial Adviser Barry O'Neil almost 10 yrs now. Barry is the most wonderful person you could wish to have on board to look after your finances. My financial investment is really small fry in comparison to some of the larger investments Barry deals with but I know I am still treated with the utmost courtesy as everyone .

I came to know John very well as he was the financial adviser at the solicitors who handled my case after a road traffic accident in May 2000.

Once the case was settled and the compensation I was due was paid out, John handled the investment & management of the monies to ensure that I would be covered for the rest of my life, as it was unlikely that I would be able to work in the same capacity which I done prior to the accident.

I'd initially been very concerned that the monies would not last me for the duration of my life, but as the months/years went by, John would regularly send me reports of the gains/losses that the invested funds were making (more the former than the latter!).
He would also periodically send authorisation forms for me to sign when he identified that a particular fund in my investment portfolio would generate better returns if invested in an alternative fund.

It's now been nearly 15 years since I received the original compensation figure and, despite numerous (and some fairly significant) withdrawals - along with the monthly stipend I receive as my "income" - the value of the investment has remained pretty much the same as it was when the money was first invested.

Had the money been simply been put into a high interest bank account, there is *no way* I'd have seen anything *like* the returns I've seen since John has been managing the investment,
(And please note, that the level of risk ascribed to the portfolio is classed as "medium", meaning that no funds are invested in high risk investments.)

When John left the solicitors to start Edgmoor, I was given the option of either moving my portfolio to Edgmoor or remaining with the solicitor and letting someone I didn't know manage my portfolio. The decision was obviously a no-brainer!

John periodically comes down to me in Milton Keynes from where he is in Manchester for a face-to-face review of my portfolio, which is excellent as I get the opportunity to discuss my investment and he can advise me on any withdrawals I'm considering making. (On top of this, like myself, he is something of an artisan and makes things in his workshop in his spare time, so we get the opportunity to "talk shop" and about the projects we're each working on!)

I **cannot** recommend Edgmoor highly enough.
