I have been with Pet Protect for five years and have not made a claim so I can't comment on claims experiance. My pet is an Irish Setter which is not on the list of dogs with underlying heath issues but despite this my premium has increased from £35 to £82 pm. So definitely would not recommend

Would NOT recommend. I have received my renewal and pet protect have DOUBLED my monthly payment. My dog is only 2 and has 1 claim. How can they justify doubling my monthly payment? As a new customer I could have it for half the price but of course they have said they can’t match the price for new customers or other companies. I know it is always going to increase but doubling is a joke. What will the price be when my dog is 6 years old?! It really is companies like this that cause animals to not receive the treatment they need and that lead owners to give up their animals as they can simply no longer afford the astronomical insurance and vet fees.

I can't recommend Pet Protect highly enough. Our cat was seriously ill and needed urgent care and surgery (she’s now fully recovered). Every interaction was kind, supportive, and stress-free — they handled everything directly with the vets. Thank you, Pet Protect!

Got insurance for my dachshund who unfortunately had ivdd and requiring operation. Money claimed by the vet and paid out according the policy without any issues. 5 stars service.

Avoid this company at all costs. we had our little Bella insured with this joke of an outfit and when she developed a lump on one of her mammary glands which could be cancerous and we were quoted £2500 to remove, they point blankly refused saying she should of been spayed, and then couldn't even be bothered to reply to our follow up email They have sentenced my little dog to death with their refusal to pay out . Happy to taker your money but refuse to pay out,. Avoid these people at all costs. I dont know how people can even work for a cowboy company like this disgusting and vile Its a shame I can't give them minus stars

Been with them for my cat and dog for over 3 years. Never had an issue with claims. But the renewals is just a load of capitalist money grabbing nonsense. Renewal price doubled, cancelled the policy, took out a new one still with petprotect and its the same price as previous year.

I would note that luckily my pet doesn't have any pre existing conditions so I have no concerns cancelling the policy. If your pet does have pre existing conditions that are a concern then you would have to suck it up and pay the increase.

Pet Protect have been brilliant with our claims on our young dog, sadly we’ve had to make two claims which have made us reach our annual limit but they have paid out really quickly and it was so easy to claim

I submitted a claim for my leonberger on Friday 14th February and Pet Protect paid my claim on Friday 21st February. I was very impressed with the prompt response I would highly recommend.
