Financial adviser made the ongoing monthly adviser charge a condition of dealing with this company. It should be completely optional, even their own documents state this! We agreed to pay the financial adviser lump sum charge but simply didn’t want ongoing advice. This was stated to the adviser during our first conversation over the phone. Just be aware of this requirement before you deal with this organisation as our experience suggests that this is unethical.
