Dont go with this company, bunch of scammers if you want to change your insurance over to a new vehicle its not as simple as moving your current policy to new and pay any extra if needed. They couldn't provide me with a good price but insane prices so i have no choice but to cancel and look elsewhere. This is where they take extraordinary amount of fees just to cancel, almost 200 pounds off from my total refund! INSANE.

With in my month time frame for renewal for van Insurance, I requested a renewal quote, they had added £200 on the policy, been quoted £44 where as qouteline had. Come up with £67 per month. With 6 years no claims. The person I spoke with was rude with zero customer skills. I can see why they have a low rating.

All good things come to an end.

After 12 years as a customer, Quoteline Direct send me an email out of the blue advising me that after 'my request' they have cancelled my policy 8 months into the 12 month contract.

After a brief phone call I was told that the insurer had carried out an audit and discovered that a named item was insured above the limit for single items. This was something they had brought up with me when I renewed in 2023, but they managed to find a solution and the automatic renewal this past March also included the named item at the value I had requested.

Had this email found its way to spam (not impossible) I would never have known about this abrupt cancellation, which I had not requested in spite of what the email said: no, the insurance company just cancelled it without any warning and QD failed to advise me either until I was no longer covered.

So after over a decade of good service, it comes down to this 2 star review for a complete lack of attention and consideration for a relatively long term customer.

If these people come up cheapest on your search I've found out why, they are terrible to deal with when you have to claim, can't even process a simple windscreen crack , I've had appointments cancelled because they can't decide if I'm covered or not ( I am they've confirmed it but can't seem to confirm it with the 3/4othercompanies under their umbrella and national windscreens)I've waited over 7hrs on the phone in the last 3 days trying to sort it. Don't make the mistake I did by using these people because they where the cheapest insurance. You will regret it and end up paying more in your own money or hours spent on their phone system designed not to be able to speak to who you need to

Absolutely Awful to try to Contact, Awful experience,
After renewing for a second year, they messed up the bank details and hounded me for payment via letters, I could not pay online as there is no function and they ignored my emails. When I call …. Press 3 for this and 6 for that, but never get through to be able to make the payment …

What an awful experience. I just want to buy and pay for car insurance, It really shouldn't be this difficult!!

Tonight 4.12.2024 at 17:40 my husband and I were on the phone call with one of the operators who refused to provide his number. The behaviour of the operator was to say all least rude and disgusting, non answering the questions, stopping client from asking questions and providing misleading informations. At the end of the conversation when I have asked for a name or a number he literally hang on the phone. Behaviour like that is unacceptable and should be dealt with promptly. Definitely not going ahead with quotlinedirect and truly not recommend it. We are all paying lots of money for the insurance and to be treated this way is unacceptable!!!

Just don't use them. They have a lot of hidden charges which they will hit you with. I put an incorrect date of ownership (my mistake) on the quote. I've owned the car for 4 years and told them 4 years and a few months. They put my premium up by 25% which I had just taken out 4 days earlier. I've cancelled my policy and gone back to a proper insurance company.
