Revolancer is a decent platform but it has a long way to go.

Positives:
- Plenty of jobs that get updated regularly. Sending a proposal is very straightforward and simple.
- Your personal page is well structured and Revolancer is good at guiding what you should do, e.g. adding services and outlining your pricing, your lead times, etc.
- Using the site on the go is easy.
- Support staff are very responsive and making a support ticket is very easy.

Negatives:
- It's a good thing making support tickets is easy because you need them constantly. Parts of the site seem to break all the time and it feels like the technical team are often having to patch things up so it just functions properly.
- There's no kind of straightforward identification for jobs you sent proposals for. This would be so easily remedied by giving each post a visible ID number that you can refer back to, like eBay gives for each listing.
- You also have no immediate indication if you've already sent proposals for jobs, and you have to dig through the unintuitive proposals screen, clicking on each entry until you either find the job or eliminate the possibility. Again, job IDs would make this so much simpler.
- The site doesn't speak to you. You send a proposal for a job, and...that's it. No email to confirm your proposal sent, no message to say your proposal has even been looked at or seen, nothing to say when a job expires. It's too quiet.

The site is functional but it still kind of feels like it's getting off the ground, which is weird given the massive funding this company got. It's alright. I haven't received any work through it, which I'm honestly not bitter about as there's always heavy competition in the freelance world. It just feels like the site could make the process of applying and following roles much easier and transparent.
I was given Revolancer Plus for free in exchange for feedback, and I'm glad I was because in the site's current state I would not pay for the extra benefits.

Bottom line: Needs some improvement but I will continue to use it because it's got a lot of potential and I think it could be a great place for freelancers.

I wasn't sold on the idea at first but if you're a beginner, I realized the service exchange system makes sense. It's like a virtual place where you trade your time and skills for credits. Then use those credits to get the services you want. Perfectly beginner friendly.

Now onto the experienced freelancer's POV: I recently tested this out on my client. I'm a VA but I needed some last-minute photo editing and I could not ( for the life of me) draw or do artsy stuff (sobs). I outsourced this task to a photo editor here... got the pic... completed the project... and had some praise sent my way by my client. So this is a good thing after all lol.

Had no trouble familiarizing myself with the site. Although I have the freelancer interface on my account, I sometimes need other projects done too. Is there a switch or toggle we can go from freelancer to client? Might have missed it.

I find the inner workings of the site satisfactory. Some constructive feedback though - Would love to see a feature where u can switch from freelancer to client as I outsource my own work to others as well. ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm a perfectionist and I really hate when I dive into things unprepared. Atleast with this, I can train myself first by applying to projects and gaining experience. It has motivated me to take on more projects and enhance my skill set

(Interesting how many 5-star reviews instantly pop up after a negative review to offset the bad rating for Revolancerโ€ฆ bots or bribes? Hmmโ€ฆ)
Don't pay for premium, you don't gain any benefits! Constant security issues, the employees who apparently work at Revolancer never respond to messages or queries (think they're too busy posting on Revolancer socials...) At the moment, it seems like a scam and I don't recommend using. Looks like most of the reviews here are sponsored too.
Will review in future if any positive changes are made...

Got spammed using my work email, claiming they saw my profile on LinkedIn but that doesn't explain how they got access to that email and why they would contact me on that mail and not directly on LinkedIn. Also the person who sent the mail you can't send them a message on LinkedIn unless using Premium InMail. It's all just too suspicious for me
