I have been a client with Roderick Thomas for the best part of the last ten years. Initially as property managers for my home which has been let to tenants whilst I live abroad. Then more recently, as the sales agent for my properties.

They are an excellent company. The staff are genuinely honest, professional, caring individuals. I have mainly dealt with Harry Jose the branch manager at Castle Cary, and Bridget. I now regard them as friends and have absolute trust and faith in them.
They have never failed to go over and beyond their work details to ensure the best outcome was always achieved for both the landlord and the tenant. Likewise for the buyer and the vendor.

They handled the letting of my home with complete dedication, never overcharging me, or taking advantage of the fact I was three thousand miles away. The tenants were of a high calibre and rent was never missed by any of them. Harry and Bridget handled all requirements including the numerous repairs always necessary in a two hundred year old property.

They have just sold the said property and handled a rather torturous sale due to a chain where the buyer at the bottom of the chain had difficulties with a divorce. Without Harry’s calm, professional and sensible approach, I am unsure how I would have coped. He managed every and saw the sale through.

Roderick Thomas also sold eight other properties I owned in recent years. Again, the sales were handled efficiently and expertly. Good prices were achieved, although unlike some agents, the prices were not overly inflated.

I have no hesitation about recommending them both as a sales and a property management/letting agency. They are undoubtedly the best.

Excellent service! We moved during lockdown, had some issues with the onward chain and i was heavily pregnant. Not a good experience. Made 3 calls to view a property over period of a week as no one had got back to me. They took my details for their system only to tell me that I can't view the property as mine wasn't yet on the market. This is fair enough but communicating this from the outset would have saved wasting my time and theirs. In a nutshell, their attitude very much came across as "I'm not interested" and "I don't have time for this". 100% would not put my property on the market with them.

Dealt with the Castle Cary Branch for the purchase of a property and the short term rental of a flat.
Both transactions were carried out in a highly professional manner, the staff have great empathy and recognise the strains and challenges of the process. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they always take the time to fully support you throughout the whole end to end process. Highly recommended, you wont be dissapointed!
