Romans were my letting agent, with Denise Hurn being my property manager, for a year. Romans failed to tell me about a previous neighbour dispute prior to moving in so I unfortunately found out very quickly after moving in. Denise continually lied to me, left me without hot water over the weekend and would always dismiss my complaints. I had no hot water and was told by Denise that the wind must have blown out the flame on the boiler (through a wall) and I should wait to see if it comes back on. I then spent the weekend without hot water until she was contactable again the following week and finally did something about it.
Denise lied and said my landlord had died, so they couldn’t do any repairs on the house, despite being told at the viewing it would be repainted before I moved in. I only found out this wasn’t true when I moved out and saw my landlords signature on a document. When I raised a complaint about Denise and her behaviour, I was referred to a manager, Jackie Miles-Miller, who also ignored me and said she tried to call me once and then never responded again to my complaints.
The house was filthy when I moved in, dead flies and mould everywhere and Denise told me it’s been cleaned the week prior so they wouldn’t be cleaning it again.
Denise is rude and incompetent. Genuinely the worst year of my life because of the agents and the neighbour issues that they failed to tell me about. I checked with the previous tenant who also left because of the neighbour and they had reported it to Romans.

The purchase/sell of my property took a very long time, for reasons outside Roman's control but it was handled in the most efficient way.
