For the last few years I have been insuring through price comparison sites thinking that they will always be the best deal. I changed my car to a slightly newer model and was charged £13.56 for the change but also a disgraceful £70 administration fee ! In defiance I called in to RS Insurance and spoke to a very kind and knowledgeable human being who managed to get me a quote (with better cove) for £60 less than my current policy and a much lower excess (£150 as opposed to £300). I am starting to think that over the last few years I have been foolish by believing the adverts on the telly and their claims that is the best way to buy when all I needed to do was speak to a human! Maybe that is one of the reasons why the high street is dying!?

I have since asked RS Insurance to quote for my home insurance and they are a massive £126 better than my current company (take that Morgan Freeman) but I cannot switch until renewal in May as they too charge a cancellation fee!

I will certainly be recommending that the speaking to people is better than clicking a mouse!
