Hi I've been with this company for at least 12 year and as a customer every year I have a service done as part of my monthly contract 🙂 so we'd 28th myself Mrs Ellen Sommerville. a very professional young man did a very thorough check of my appliance (mark) he's been a few time to me and as a older person he makes me feel confident and comfortable that he will do a great 👍 job thanku Mark 😊

Absolutely awful company. 5 appointments and still no resolution. Promised works to be finished on a specific day but the plumber just left without telling me. Pulled up my carpet and haven't put it down correctly so it's all rippled and has dirty boot marks on it where the plumber used his dirty boot to try and smooth it out. Avoid.

Originally called them and the woman on the phone was great changed through options and was very helpful got booked in. Engineer came out and said it would need to be repaired. Paid the best £300 bill then guy came out next day and struggled to fix part ( valve) he then said they don’t repair central heating if you have Hive installed( never once mentioned this prior) then had to get his supervisor out to help. Was 6 hours of work and now 2 weeks later the heating isn’t working at all. Really disappointed

Parking in my private reserved parking space just shows the ethics of this company. Regardless of whether I want to use it, this company has no right to steal it for the day.

Spoke with a lovely girl on the phone this morning who did everything she could to help me. Very polite, easy to talk to and professional. Man came out to survey for solar panels and he was also very polite, helpful and informative. Always have good experiences with Saltire.

Had my boiler serviced today by Mark from Saltire. The service by him and young apprentice was absolutely fantastic. Kind enough to identify a potential issue with my Baxi boiler (which fortunately was on warranty with Baxi) Mark went above and beyond, and called Baxi for me, explained the issue and organised an appointment for them to attend and rectify the problem tomorrow as it was a warranty issue, he really didn’t need to do that and took the stress from me. Brilliant workmanship and professionalism from Mark. Absolute credit to Saltire !!

As a Landlord, I have been paying over £60 a month for emergency cover for the heating system, plumbing, drains and electric for over a year now. Last week I had to call Saltire as there was a leak into the lady's flat below. The emergency appointment was arranged for 7pm when the tenant would be in. I took a call at 6pm from the attendee who claims he didn't know he had to be there at 7pm.

I then took a call from a call handler who attempted to cancel the 7pm attendance. I told him the appointment has been arranged and under no circumstances is it to be cancelled.

After 7pm I received a further call to say that there was no issues with the heating system. I asked what the heating system had to do with the leak as Saltire were previous told as part of my description the area of the leak was away from any part of the central heating system. The call handler stated that Saltire don't really do plumbing. She said 'I know it's on the list of what we do, but we don't really do it, we are a heating engineer company. Plumbing is a different thing'. I requested a plumber be sent out as per the contract. I was informed a plumber would be sent out the next day Saturday in the morning.

On Saturday no plumber had been out by 3pm. I receive a further call from Saltire. They had 'no plumber to send out and anyway the heating engineer couldn't see a leak'. They said they couldn't arrange a time to come out with the plumber. I told them I provided them with a full day's access which Saltire chose not to use only to be told 'We have emergencies to attend to!'

Eventually a plumber attended on Monday evening (day 4 of the leak) briefly looked around the kitchen and bathroom and said he couldn't see anything and left. The return call ('if not it will be an email') I was to receive following his visit is still outstanding (No email either).

This was a good company at one time that I had confidence in. Now it's gone to the dogs.

To update this review, I have now had the benefit of an independent company who traced the issue and carried out a repair in a day for £395. Saltire in comparison, have taken over £720 from me by direct debit over the last year for no meaningful service.

So, to sum up, If you want a company that uses every excuse an evasive workman ever came up with to avoid doing their job, then Saltire is for you.

If you want a company that can't communicate among themselves or most importantly, with the customer then Saltire is for you.

If you want a company that takes a direct debit from your account every month to provide a service, but does not provide a service as per the contract then Saltire are for you.

My assumption would be that they don't really do drains or electrical work either.

Chose your facilities company well. Don't chose Saltire, why would you want to do that?
