I just want to share my experience with Scarsdale Solicitors. Before I met with Shazia, i was very worried towards how I’d bring my husband to the UK considering how tough the government had made it. After one meeting with Shazia she had patiently listened to my situation and circumstances and put me at ease straight away! I knew i was in good hands. I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel responsible to warn others. This lawyer seemed very polite and professional at first — especially before and during the first meeting. But after that? A complete nightmare. She stopped answering calls altogether, and when I finally managed to get through, she scolded me for calling and said she was “busy.” Excuse me?

Appointments are a joke — she gives you a slot after 4 weeks, and even then it’s just 15 minutes, out of which she actually talks to you for maybe 5 minutes. The rest of the time, she’s chatting away with her assistant like your time doesn’t matter at all.

I swear on my mum’s life, I have never felt so disrespected by a so-called “professional.”
Please don’t waste your time, energy, or money on her.
She’s absolutely miserable.

I would not recommend Scarsdale Solicitors based on my experience.

I contacted them after being charged with speeding on the motorway. I explained to Shazia that I had recently lost my mother and was facing court with significant mitigating circumstances. Instead of showing any empathy or support, she dismissed my reasons for speeding and stated that my only hope of a positive outcome was if she could find an error in the police paperwork.

She then quoted me £2,500 and said she could not begin working on the case until the full amount was paid — no flexibility, no reassurance, just pressure.

I decided to seek a second opinion and was quoted £700 by a different solicitor, who was not only professional and understanding, but also kept me calm and informed throughout. That solicitor helped me prepare everything properly — and ultimately, all charges were dropped by the police.

Shazia’s attitude and approach were the complete opposite of what you’d expect from someone in a supportive legal role. I also noticed many of their 5-star reviews appear to be written by people linked to the firm, which raises serious concerns.

I was facing a road traffic charge for using a mobile phone while driving by an off duty officer.
