I had completed a few of the general home insurance policies but found that none appeared to be specific to the house which was to be insured. Having been defined as a second home for Council Tax purposes, the Schofield form completion was better designed to meet my requirements. It was worthwhile spending the additional time searching for a specific product than trying to negotiate the issues on the more general insurance offerings.

We took out a holiday home insurance with Schofield’s this year, after a recommendation from a friend. Easy to navigate online form where you provide all the necessary information. The best bit is no one phones you to hassle you into buying products that you don’t really want, but of course if you want to speak to someone there is a contact number to ring. They were competitively priced on a like for like basis with last year’s company. Let’s hope they don’t hike up the premium in year 2, as other Insurance companies seem to do. Very pleased so far.
