Without doubt the best adventure travel company I have ever come across. I often travel independently so it takes something truly special to make me book through a company and Secret Compass continues to deliver on that. The expert planning, awesome world first adventures and amazing guides they provide just keep me coming back for more. I have travelled with them to 3 times now to Madagascar, Gabon & The DRC. If I had the time and the money I would probably sign up to every trip that they offer. When you book on to a SC trip and you wont regret it. The experience you have and the people you meet will stay with you for a lifetime.

I took part in the Sinaï Expedition and cannot fault any part of the experience from booking to returning home. I certainly hope to take part in another Secret Compass adventure soon.

I literally can't say enough good things about SC, I went on the first Darien expedition and rarely go a week without mentioning it to someone or thinking back and smiling - and that was 3 years ago! Recently booked into the Gabon trip which I'm unreasonably excited about.

With adventure travel you want to feel a bit in danger but equally you want to know if anything bad happened you'd be in good hands, SC get this balance right, taking you to places you just can't organise on your own with all the backup in place should anything go awry.

If you have the time and money to go on one of their trips - do it.

I've been with Secret Compass since the very early days of the company, and have been with them to Afghanistan, South Sudan, the Sinai, and several other destinations in between. Their small-team expeditions are unique, challenging, and always interesting. But more than that, they are head and shoulders above any other company I've dealt with in terms of professionalism in their exped planning, preparation and execution. Considering their list of destinations, as a team member you need to be confident that the organisation you're trusting yourself to have done their homework. Secret Compass are far and away the best, from the first contact, through all the pre-departure administration and paperwork, to the running of the exped itself. Their attention to detail and level of communication is excellent. I trust them completely.

I have travelled extensively with many different companies. Secret Compass attention to details and their risk assessment and management it is second to none. I have been on two expeditions (Afghanistan and Sinai) and will not hesitate to book another expedition with them.

Safety is not at the forefront of their values, process and vetting of staff is dismal and they also aren't very good at planning (and they are most certainly awful at emergency planning). If you are an experienced expeditionist, they will organise a trip to an amazing location. Just check that they aren't sending you with a single guide, who has only been to that location twice, and has a self-confessed history of mental illness.
