I was rear-ended by a distracted driver in June of '24 and my adjuster, Xavien from Shelter claims, did the bare minimum to assist me. Shelter tried to tell me it would take 30 days to determine fault. Luckily I had a dash cam that easily proved this, not to mention I WAS HIT FROM THE REAR! I went with a collision company that was recommended by Xavien and had to take some time off work for my appointment. Upon my arrival I was told that they don't work with Shelter and now I certainly understand why. Their staff is not proactive with their service in any way. At one point, when I called to confirm the return date for my rental, I spent 45 minutes in the phone only to be told there was no one available to speak with. I hope I never have to deal with this claims department again.

Hopefully you don't get rear-ended by someone who has this insurance. I was rear ended in October 2019 and had to go through 3 claims adjusters as the first one didn't answer any calls, second no clue it was reassigned, and third came out- seemed to be on top of it.. then disappeared when I needed a rental.

NO answering phone calls, and everyone I've dealt with regarding my car has said this company is one of the worst.

BEWARE and make sure you have everything in writing.
