6 weeks since our first call with a solicitor Charlotte, we are out of pocket and still have no will! Charlotte was very approachable on the phone, however, we were persuaded to opt for a trust will which cost over £800. We changed our mind next day saying we just wanted simple mirror wills for now. Since then I have only been receiving calls and emails chasing the money, after I had repeatedly explained that we still have no will (they do not answer phone calls or emails). Just appalling and would recommend anyone to avoid this company.

We chose Simpler Law because they were offering a promotion that was very affordable for us. Ninety Eight pounds for a "Mirror Will". We were able to get in for a phone appointment with a solicitor the next day. The call was about 45 to 60 minutes as advised and we are waiting to get the paper copy of the will which they said we would receive in three weeks. Our solicitor, Jack was knowledgeable and answered our questions. We are only giving three stars because he was not very warm or personable with us. He did not respond to a question we wrote to him in email after the appointment or acknowledge receipt of information we sent him. He spent a good chunk of the call advising us that we should go with a much more expensive will option and other services. We now feel that this kind of inexpensive will service is designed to try to sell other products, although overall the information was helpful. In future we would choose to go with a local solicitor if necessary paying more, because having a personal and friendly service over something as important as a will is a priority for us. We also feel that it's pretty important to follow up with a client.

This company comes across as scam. They are very quick in taking your money (full charge before any service provided) reassuring you that you can change your mind within 14 days. They are dishonest about the prices and when you later try to cancel they question your cancellation and try to convince you of not cancelling. It required multiple attempts of phone calls and emails to get through and manage to cancel and request refund. And they told me the refund will take 21 days! Therefore do not use them. This law firm does not come across as a serious company. I should have read the reviews before contacting this law firm.

Do not use this company!!
After the initial call and setting up a will and Lasting power of attorney I decided after a few days the way they handled it etc wasn't for me. After 5 days I called them to request a refund and was told it would take 21 days to process. I have emailed their accounts department several times and not received a response, I get pushed from one person to another on the phone who say they will look into it and call back...and was told the payment was on its way to me...I'm still waiting!!
I have spoke with my bank to recover the funds through their system now.
I definitely would not recommend this company to anyone...it does not deserve even a 1 star.

Stopped in asda asking about a will. Explained I'm selling my home so wouldn't need it till after that. I was told that's fine, £50 deal at that time, with no pressure to complete until after sale of home. I was told a date to speak about the will and I asked what if I haven't sold then and was told no problem it can be re arranged. Unfortunately 6 months later I'm still waiting for contracts signing so said can we forget the will as house move taken its toll. I've now been told there's a cooling off period of 14 days, so even if no work done no monies reimbursed after that. Originally was told I could have refund at any time Just seen in a review reply a mention of a 'welcome pack'. I've never received one ! * edit...apparently the email was the welcome pack with 3 different 'click here for terms and conditions ' etc was in it. I never thought you had to purchase a house for a will but all my circumstances will change when I move so needed the sale beforehand as I've said all 3 times, 1 at asda, 2 phone calls. Had I been told it would be completed over the phone I would not have signed at all as my hearing disability is bad, especially on phone. I get frustrated not being able to tell what is said and have to keep apologising and reminding the person to speak clearly.

Made a telephone appointment to go through making a will. This was used as an opportunity to upsell other products. On a Friday late afternoon we discussed asset protection for putting the house in trust. Pressure was put on us to commit to this even though I wasn’t sure about it. We were told we could cancel at any time within 14 days, giving us time to research it and if we changed our minds any deposit would be refunded. Over that weekend I discovered it was not suitable for us and other legal companies provided the service for at least a thousand pounds less than we were quoted. I sent an email cancelling over the weekend then spoke to them on the Monday. I was assured of a speedy refund of the £1273 I had paid. No money has been refunded. They do not respond to emails. It is now over a month and no money has been returned.I would very strongly advise you to never ever use this company. I am contacting trading standards and regulatory bodies.

My experience with Niki Clarke, customer advisor from Simper Law was excellent. She was calm and collected and knew her craft. I was pleasantly surprise at how the process went without a hitch. All my concerns were answered and I even got a few tips to improve my wishes were honoured. Over all I would recommend Simpler Law to family and friends.

All good to get the sale. Told me i had a 14 day cooling off period then didn't send the will for 17 days. When i called to ask where it was, they told me no cooling off period now applies. Won't recommend to anyone. I have also noticed that they respond to all the positive reviews but nothing on the negative reviews
