I needed to renew a Landlords' insurance within the next 48 hours from now, and I already had a couple of online quotes which they were aware of. I'd done my due diligence with at least half-a-dozen other providers, but decided to go back to SB. I have to say they were around 50% cheaper than other brokers or providers. The telephone service today was also excellent, after a good 90 minutes ensuring my quote was completely accurate and legitimately confirmed and agreed upon.

Horrible company, cowboys who make the rules up as they go along. Was with them for 3 years but as soon as I had an issue come up I got to see how they really operate. Missold me insurance not suitable for my business and basically said 'oh well'. Spent hours calling them and being passed from department to department to get what should be simple information. Do not use them.. find yourself a broker who can ensure you have exactly what you need.

This is the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. Charging direct debits after contract has been cancelled, not getting a refund which had been promised me , having to raise formal complaint and not getting my money back. The advisors on the phone tend to be unfriendly and aggressive. I would highly recommend that no one ever buys insurance from this company. It’s been nothing but trouble in my experience. Just waiting now to raise a formal complaint with the Ombudsman.

The lady I spoke to called Sonia to renew the policy was very rude in my opinion and I couldn’t get a word in or allowed to speak, I just simply wanted the policy renewed there and then without all the hassle. I therefore went on a comparison website and renewed the policy £32 cheaper and took far less time! Tobin was lovely and reassured me payment would not be taken twice when I rang, completely different from the attitude of Sonia. Maybe Sonia was having a bad day that day, I’ve been nothing but honest and upfront. My tenant simply broke a door handle that I paid for personally but got nothing but drama from Sonia as I only questioned if I would have been covered under accidental damage I pay for… was a simple question! I’ll be paying for landlords insurance via a comparison site in future to renew, far cheaper and less hassle

I found the service offered by Simply Business efficient, straightforward and uncomplicated.
The only reservation I have is that it would have been nice to have been told about the 25 pound gift offer before I had completed the purchase, rather than afterwards! Or can that still be arranged?

Please stay away from this company. It's a scam.

We had our property damaged by a tradesperson a few months ago and it has been a nightmare getting the damage paid for. They take weeks to respond, you can't get hold of anyone on the phone... and when you do it's the wrong department and they can't help anyway.

Don't trust any of these positive reviews.

These guys are money grabbing horrors. Do not use their insurance. They messed me around for 2 months delaying my claim then denied it. Thanks for that 2 months delay tactic I lost money and the tenants in my flat.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

And to SB - when you reply with some big standard apology don’t suggest “I call you” as it’s not on me to resolve this and waste more of my time to just be left frustrated and disappointed by your service
