I set off in my van, was doing about 5 to 10 mph when my door opened and hit a neighbours car, causing two small scratches about 10cm long.
I didn't recognise the car so knocked on several doors before I found the owner ( I could of just drove off but I'm not like that).
I told the guy to get a quote and if it's only a few hundred, I'll pay to fix it, if not we can go through insurance.
I took pics and showed them to a friend who's a professional car body paint sprayer for a rough idea of costs.
The owner of the car got back to me and told me that because it's a lease hire car, it has to go through insurance. So I gave him my details and let my insurance company know.
A few weeks ago I got a call asking me to describe how the accident happened etc.
So, yesterday I received an email from sopp and sopp demanding £1900 and if I don't pay within 30 days they will go through courts ( nice way to introduce yourself Mr bully!)
I've replied to their email, I've made several attempts to contact them.
No luck so far.
Why are you hassling me, you should be dealing directly with my insurance company.
Secondly, where did you get £1900 from, my friend said it's 250 to 300 at best ( a lot less to me of course)
Are you using a gold undercoat.
If I don't hear from you soon, then we will resolve this fraudulent behaviour in court.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have never dealt with a company like this before. My car was hit with a pick up van 3 weeks ago by a sunbelt driver and Sop & sop are supposed to be dealing with it. We are no further forward after 3 weeks, I have 3 kids and the stress it has caused be is unreal. We have called so many times and get nowhere nobody wants to help. My car is sitting in a garage waiting to be fixed and the car garage has not had the go ahead yet after 3 weeks. I am disgusted with the service of this company and it's caused me huge amounts of stress. Not even managers want to help. What a disgrace of a company.

While having our car damaged by a delivery vehicle was an inconvenience the service we received dealing with the repair and provision of a hire car was excellent. We cannot fault the communication and efficiency we received from all concerned.

If I could give Sopp+Sopp zero stars, I would. Their handling of my recent claim has been nothing short of disgraceful. My car was damaged by their own car wash, and yet they’ve flat-out refused to take responsibility or carry out the necessary repairs. How does that make any sense?

The damage was clear, caused directly during their car wash process, and yet after weeks of delays, excuses, and total lack of communication, they decided to deny the claim altogether. No accountability. No professionalism. No concern for customer service.

I’ve never dealt with a company so unwilling to take responsibility for their own mistakes. It’s been an exhausting and infuriating experience, and I’m now left to cover the cost of the damage myself.

The WORST company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. A lorry crashed into me a week ago and Sopp and Sopp called me a few days after telling me they would send out paperwork for me to fill in. It wasn’t sent so I called back 2 days later and they tried to send the email again. I didn’t receive it so they tried sending it to a different account, which also wasn’t received. They then said they could send me a text which, shock, wasn’t received. They asked me to send them an email so they could reply to it with the paperwork I need but once again, this was ignored. I’m sorry but what basic company doesn’t have the ability to send emails to generic gmail accounts? It’s been over a week and I’m still waiting for anything I can use to start the claim. In the meantime, I have had no car and from the looks of other reviews, it seems as though that’s something I’ll be without for a while! Avoid at all costs if you can, staff are clueless and they just fob you off

I had a terrible experience with Sopp and Sopp and their customer service. Contacting them was nearly impossible—despite sending multiple emails, I received no response. They claim it takes 30 minutes for an email to arrive, which is absurd. Initially, they stated my car could be repaired, but without explanation, they abruptly changed their stance and offered a payout instead. This made no sense, as no one inspected the car in person—both assessments were done online. Their inconsistent approach seemed driven by convenience, not care.

Worse, their service lacked accountability. They claimed they couldn’t move the damaged vehicle due to logistical issues, yet showed no concern for my situation. Their solution was to drop off a rental car and not retrieve the damaged one which is crazy considering the parking cost etc, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. Sopp and Sopp appears to be a low-cost, outsourced operation with little regard for customer satisfaction. Currently rated two stars, they deserve one star at best.

My experience as the victim of an accident with one of the company's vehicles managed by Sopp + Sopp was seamless and very vey easy. The courtesy car i was given was brand new and equivalent to my car. So really good.

O dont often write these reviews but want to help others, To be honest there lucky to even get 1 star, not the best company to deal with, waited weeks to get my quote sorted out after calling them more a less every day to be told someone would contact me within 48 hours of my calls to never hear from them, when they did answer there was a lot of laughter in the background. Got the feeling they just wonder you off the phone as quick as possible. If your car ever get hut by a dpd driver or any other company's that are insured by sopp and sopp I do wish you all the best of luck
