Rachel and Cam are truly incredible people! Although we also run a restaurant in the same village, they’ve shown nothing but kindness and support since day one. We’ve popped in for drinks several times — the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming, a true community pub feel. The food menu looks fantastic (we’re still trying to find time to sit down for a proper meal!), and everything is clearly well run and looked after. The staff are friendly and attentive, which is always a big plus. A real gem in the heart of the village!

Bizarre turn of events started at the Shroppie fly, they were fully booked so one of the staff booked us in at this pub which they said was good as well. 3 dogs in tow we made the 5 minute walk and we were almost expected, treats for the dogs were presented as well. Great selection of beer and the menu was concise. Had the beef Bourgogne and Other meal was Pork fillets, it was great, very flavourful and portions were all good. There was a very good live singer in the background. All in all a very nice location

Amazing food yet again!
Thai crispy beef & chicken pie this time followed by Eton mess & sticky toffee pudding. Food is so fresh and just fabulous. Both the restaurant and bar area were busy with a mix of couples and family groups, including a large group in the restaurant but staff were attentive and helpful -nothing was ever too much trouble. Already thinking what to choose next time.

Really dog friendly, serving good beer and lovely grub. We had pizza cooked from scratch today and it was top notch and very well-priced, and our light lunch the other day was excellent as well.

Easy parking in the village centre and the landlady was friendly, welcoming and fun.

Enjoyed our first visit this evening. The food was delicious, staff were friendly and attentive. The pub had great atmosphere and live music tonight.
Parking is terrible in the village but a 5 minute walk back to the car made me feel less guilty for eating pizza!
We will definitely be back.

We dined on the pre-theatre special menu, which we thought was amazing value for money. Food came very quickly and was excellent. A nice choice of drinks and service was great. I can't wait to go back!

Also excellent lighter lunch menu.

They sometimes have excellent entertainment, like Heidi Browne.
