Samantha created our absolutely stunning wedding cake for our wedding in April. I knew as soon as I came across Samantha’s instagram that I wanted her to create our wedding cake. From enquiry all the way through to our wedding Samantha’s communication was outstanding. We absolutely loved our wedding tasting and Samantha was just so lovely and welcoming. Not to mention the samples were absolutely delicious!

I will never take for granted the work that went into creating the gorgeous sugar flowers on our cake. They were so intricate that our guests couldn’t believe they weren’t real flowers. Our cake truly was a work of art and Samantha perfectly matched the colours and flowers to those our florist supplied.

If you're considering booking Samantha for your wedding cake there's no need for debate! From the very start of our cake creating process she was absolutely brilliant. We loved her personalised approach to everything from initial emails and calls, to tasting, to set up on the day. Our cake was stunning and so delicious. We got many complements on the day. Samantha also worked seamlessly with our florist to make sure all florals were in place. Thank you Samantha for the most special wedding cake creation!

We couldn’t recommend Samantha enough. We visited her for cake tasting before our big day and enjoyed every second of eating the delicious samples she’d made for us! The range of flavours were great and we chose rhubarb and custard (tastes just like the sweets), chocolate and lemon for our wedding cake.

Our guests raved about the cake, both the look of it and the taste! Every time we saw one guest, he had another slice of the chocolate cake. We’re so pleased that we were able to have our cake made by Samantha - thank you!

I would highly recommend Samantha/The Pretty Cake Company! The communication to discuss what I wanted was done in perfect timing - I had so many wedding suppliers asking me questions last minute which really added to the stress, but not Samantha. She understood my requirements spot on and worked with my florist to decorate it with my chosen flowers - it was beautiful. She considered the weather on the day (it was a hot one!) and used her technical skills to think about how best to make the cake last. Most importantly, I had so many guests tell me how delicious the cake was and that they’d honestly never tasted such a good wedding cake. And it was all done at a reasonable price. I can’t thank her enough!

I am awfully late in writing a review as Samantha made my wedding cake over a year ago. Better late than never! My whole experience was amazing from the beginning with great communication and a very relaxed and thorough meeting to discuss the desired cake. All of the flavours were delicious and my wedding cake was more fabulous than I could have imagined, Samantha also kindly ensured it was delivered to the venue safely even though the venue was so far away. She is a great baker and an artist! (Flowers on the cake were all edible!) Thank you 🥰

Samantha was the perfect cake supplier for creating my dream (and very specific) wedding cake! It turned out perfect and honestly, even better than I had imagined. We did 3 flavors which were all delicious. Sticky toffee pudding, raspberry bakewell, and lemon. We used our custom monogram image I commissioned for our wedding on the front of the cake with a luster background. Both of these ideas were hers and I absolutely love how it turned out!

We met with Samantha who was kind enough to do a tasting for us and we discussed all of my ideas. I went into the meeting without a design (which had me pretty stressed in the beginning to be honest) but she was so wonderful and the worry immediately went away as she was so easy to work with. We made up an idea of what I wanted and she sent me a sketch design by email. She even tweaked it a couple times until I was 100% happy with it. She was also very open-minded to my very specific favorite flowers that I wanted to incorporate. For example, I wanted a specific breed of rose and I also wanted wisteria which she had not done before. She nailed both of these!

I wasn't sold on doing sugar flowers in the beginning, but I had many other people assure me her flowers were worth it. As someone who always prefers real flowers always over fake, I was shocked at how obsessed I was with them and how REAL they looked! I now have them as a keepsake forever (our real wedding flowers did not preserve well from the day unfortunately) so I am really grateful I have these to display. If you're debating doing sugar, I would most definitely recommend them!

Lastly, Samantha collaborated so well with our florist since they had worked together before and everyone agreed everything tied together so beautifully in the end. I couldn't be more grateful for my perfect wedding cake. Thank you, Samantha!
