My experience is Total Landlords insurance provide a reasonable service but over the last 3 years their premiums have become excessive so I have to use another company now. For example a property that cost £150 to insure three years ago is now £412. they are just not competitive anymore, not for me anyway.

Gone down hill in the last couple of years. Never previously did I ever question premiums. Now I question every single one. The latest is an on top £75 fee to an intermediary to broker me the best cover/price on 1 policy. This "fee" made up 25% of the premium

Isn't that what a broker does by default.

I'm going to be looking elsewhere next renewals. Thats 25 years of business wiped out with greed.

All of this seems to have happened since the rebranding from HFIS to Total Landlord.

My insurance keeps going up much faster than inflation despite me never making a claim. And they send far to many irrelevant emails.

There are only 3 options - none of which are relevant or allow you to speak about a general enquiry with anybody. So you are forced to select an incorrect option. Nobody answers and your call is forwarded to an automated voicemail service.
