I hired this public adjuster to initiate and settle a claim for hail and wind damage on my home. I signed his contract in April of 2023, and as of today, March 19th 2024, he is still trying to pressure my insurance company for a larger settlement. My insurance company made a reasonable offer, sent me 2 checks for the actual cash value of the claim back in December of 2023. I am satisfied with the insurance company's settlement amount. Public adjusters get paid a commission based on the settlement amount. This is why I believe TPC Public Adjusters continues to push for more of a claim than necessary to restore my home. I have the checks from my insurance company in my hand. The public adjuster needs to endorse them along with myself and my wife. He is delaying and/or refusing to endorse the checks. He insists on continuing to push the insurance company for more money. He wants more of a commission but I believe he's upset I'm choosing not to hire his contracting company to perform the work. It is not a requirement to hire the adjuster's company to do the work.
My advice to anyone considering hiring a public adjuster is to do your homework. Contact past clients and try to learn as much as you can about the process. I made a huge mistake signing anything with this company. Now it's a lot of aggravation just to get a simple roof replaced.
I wish I could have given zero stars here but that's not an option.
