Should be titled 'uninsured'. These are scam insurers. They will not fulfil any claim you have. If forced, they will take *years* to accept their responsibility. You'd be better simply saving your own money for use in the event of an accident.

Specifically, I had accidental cover and managed to spill tea on a laptop, they took my laptop for 8 months, claimed that I had deliberately damaged it, gave false information regarding data entry they had (without permission) taken from the laptops hard drive, to imply that I had damaged it months earlier before I took out the policy. Fortunately, not being an idiot, I was able to explain how the data in fact confirmed the timeline I had given. There was months of this nonsense, and a particularly nasty enforcement officer clearly took a great deal of joy in denying my claim. 2 years later, they eventually paid out. By this point, the laptops value had fallen from 1500 to £400. All the while I was paying my rates, essentially meaning that I spent more than they paid out. They are nasty, awful little people who have no intention to provide insurance, simply to give you a false sense of security. Avoid at all costs.

After 5 years having house insurance with this company they tripled the price even though I never claimed anything. After contacting them they offered to reduce the bill by £ 100 but could give no reason for the huge increase. They care nothing for their existing customers

I've had a very difficult experience with this company. The wait times for customer service are incredibly long, often forcing you to hang up after being on hold forever. Worse yet, if the staff don't like you, they might cancel your policy without any notice, leaving you to deal with the impossible task of getting it fixed. Extremely unprofessional.

UINSURE took two payments one at £610 and another at £830. Note: no new policy paperwork or email was sent.

When I phoned up I waited on the phone for an hour to get through and I discovered that £830 was for auto renewal and £610 was taken in error (their error)

I thought £830 renewal was excessive so I asked them to quote a better price or I was leaving. Got it down to £460. Gave them the benefit of doubt and renewed as long as they refunded me the £830 and £610. 2 weeks and a formal complaint later I have received only the £830. Still waiting on the £610 they took in error but they have taken a further £460 from my account for the new renewal.

Still owed £610 and patience wore so thin that I've cancelled the renewal and went elsewhere. They will hold on to the £460 that they have took for another 2 weeks. They cannot issue cancellation paperwork by email in the same way they issue quotes. It has to be through post. I guess to spin it out and hold on to my money even longer.

UINSURE give me MY £1050 back. The majority of which you took without any authorisation or reason and now I must wait wait and wait!!!

Cancelled our policy after two years as the price had disproportionately increased despite no claims, we have found the same cover for £150 less elsewhere. The payment was taken out of our account which we were told would be refunded within 7 days. It's now been over two weeks and after chasing them up we have been told there was a 'technical issue' with our refund which will now be with us in a week's time.

Avoid at all costs, my mum's ceiling came down in the bedroom after heavy rain, took 10 days for an assessor to come out! Room stinks, had to sort ourselves, shambles, 5yrs of paying for nothing, burn your money instead

I wouldn't normally leave a review on an insurance site, but I was super impressed by the service and clarity I received from Uinsure, in particular a shout out to Forrest Wickson who helped me navigate the right options for me and answered all of my (never ending) questions! Excellent customer service deserves recognition!

This company took me for a ride charging me twice a month for several months. And I am still yet to receive my refund I am owed nearly £500 and they told me it would be resolved in 10-14 days and I haven’t received an email or anything of the sort apart from when I cancelled my policy still waiting on that £432

Update: I was told about a refund on 15th March 2024 and it’s now 8th April and person on phone had no clue what I was talking about. And said she’s “chase it up for me” GIVE ME MY REFUND. As of April 15th I received my refund thanks to the lovely lady named Olivia, great service from her the only positive I have taken from my experience with uinsure is that they hired atleast one good member of staff
