USE WITH CAUTION.
Tried booking through their website but kept crashing when payment page came up. Reached out to the owner who then suggested paying via bank transfer directly into their account details. Obviously didn’t feel comfortable doing this so paid via credit card through Stripe when they fixed the website.

Once we managed to book, we noticed the property was also available on Rightmove to rent & buy which we thought was strange. Next thing we know they cancel the booking 3 weeks before the date because surprise surprise, the property was sold.

They then sent an email confirming a refund was processed but the confirmation email wasn’t from Stripe (I use them for work so I can recognise it). I had to call and follow up regarding the refund to then get the actual refund confirmation from Stripe.

This could all just be terrible coincidences and more of the property owners fault but it’s extremely unprofessional to accept bookings when knowing the property is listed for rent & sale. The whole process feels like a cash grab in any way possible.

If you do go ahead with booking anything through Vacant Nests, I recommend you use a credit card so your transactions are protected and make sure you get the refund confirmation directly from Stripe.
