We have had boiler and heating cover for many years with different insurance companies. However, we tried this company after receiving recommendations from family and friends on how efficient and competent is Warranty People. I can honestly say I have been with the company a few months and their customer care is exemplary, the contractors they use to service our boiler were competent, helpful and friendly. Therefore, I will not be looking to swap from warranty people to another provider.

I’ve being scammed by this company. sold me a boiler insurance cover not happy with the service they sent me a trainee plumber who came and ask me to replace with a new boiler couldn’t solve the problem I had to wait for three weeks to receive a service weather was very cold! when I took my policy they’ve told me I can cancel my policy if I’m not happy with the service sales person told me their isn’t any contract when I’ve call them it’s completely opposite they told me I can’t cancel this contract untill it ends please people don’t fall on their trick go with a recommended company not with warranty people they have no interest fixing your boiler. only they want you to buy a new boiler from them so that they can bump you with a larger bill money greed warranty people is a fraudstar! beware Avoid warranty people.

I wanted to join this company, but good that I checked the reviews, and I questioned myself if going with them would be the right choice. Looking at their prices they are very cheap, the cheapest I could find among other companies. The fact that their customers called them fraudsters and scam it is already a red flag. And if something sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. Better to pay a bit extra and get value in exchange for what you’re paying. It's not worth to pay a lower price for nothing. I had few contacts with them, and from my contacts with them I realized how bad they are at customer services. I work for one of the largest mobile phone companies, in the customer service area and if I was to treat our customers like they do, then the company I work for would clearly be going down in revenue. They try to put the fault on customers, while customers said their boiler was working all well, when they took out the policy, but when they come to do a service, then they find faults and they call it existing faults, only so they avoid paying for the repair. I would not trust this company to look after my boiler.

I took out cover on my boiler in March and my boiler had been working absolutely fine. I chose a plan with a service included in the process, which the company said they would only undertake after a 6 month period.

A guy from 247 (aka The Warranty People) came out to my property to service my boiler very recently and he entered my property whilst having a phone conversation with his mother?! He proceeded to 'service' my boiler whilst still on the phone call for the majority of his time in my property.

After telling me my boiler was absolutely fine, the engineer said that he had a part on his van that he would replace whilst he was there 'just in case.' He then proceeded to explain all the tricks the company used to inflate their replacement boiler prices, so that when customers' boilers died (within the policy period) they would actually end up paying more for the cost of the work and a new replacement than if they went to an independent company and didn't have any boiler cover?!

The chap in question advised me that I had been mis-sold to when I had originally taken out my Cover based on the information that I provided (something which I will now pursue legally following on from an Access to Information Request' which I am making) and eventually left my property.

That same evening, my central heating failed due to an F1 error water pressure -related issue and since this time the problem has continued every day since (barring one) after I have reset it.

To cut a long story short, I eventually managed to get a different engineer out today (after several calls whereby the company were trying to enforce an excess charge - despite the fact that the issue was clearly directly related to their engineer's initial visit) and they advised that my boiler's heat thermostat had failed and that conveniently; this is 'the only part'that isn't covered in my plan. The guy then proceeded to advise me that I will need to buy a new boiler as a result and I am absolutely positive that this issue has been caused by the first engineer.

There are no notes referencing the part that was replaced during the company’s original visit and now this employee has mysteriously disappeared out of the business for the past two weeks according to his colleague.

I seriously believe that there is foul play involved here and I will go out of my way to prove this if I have to. If you read the reviews on other websites there are numerous reports of similar occurrences and of people warning that this is A SCAM company who have recently changed their name to the Warranty People due to their endless bad/ SCAM reviews under the old company name.

Please, please, please think twice before taking out a policy with this company. I will probably have to fight this through court now like other customers who have taken a policy out with this company are reporting they are also having to do.
Rather than address this matter the company have now cancelled my policy now that a repair (which is only needed since their engineer’s ‘service visit) is required on the boiler is required. Utter cowboys in my opinion and I would strongly advise to pay slightly more and go to a company that are industry approved, as I have since read that this company are not.

When I call to say my heating wasn’t working the operator was extremely helpful. I was told that an engineer would call within 24 hours to arrange to come to my property to fix the issue. The engineer came following morning and were able to get my heating back up and running very quickly.

Be aware this is a scam company and not regulated by the FCA!!

I purchased landlord boiler cover through warranty people only to find the actual contract is with 24/7 Home Rescue. Then when I needed a repair they deemed the boiler beyond economical repair which I can't argue with as it is an old boiler but they only offered the option to buy a new boiler through THEIR other company 24/7 StayWarm at a cost of £500+ and also £30pm maintenance contract for 10 years!!! When I refused, they cancelled my boiler contract, again that's understandable as they have deemed it BER. I then found another company who managed to repair my boiler. When I rang to enquire what my options were going forward, I was told that a repair was actually an option but not advisable. I was also told that after I refused the new boiler, I should have been contacted by another team who would have informed me about the possible repair. I told them I should be given the choice to decide if I want a repair or not. Clearly, their main aim was to make money from this situation by withholding crucial information! I complained and threatened to get the Ombudsman involved only to discover this company isn't even regulated by the FCA! I only wish I looked into this sooner as I have paid £75 call out, £60 for a boiler service which I don't even know was carried out effectively and £9 per month direct debit since Nov 2019! My advice is to stay away as they promise a lot more than they end up giving. When something is too good to be true....it generally is!! A very expensive lesson I had to learn. Stick to reputable companies who are regulated by the relevant authorities even if they are slightly more expensive otherwise you will end up out of pocket.

Hello

I am a Landlord looking for cover. The prices quoted were clearly tempting. I was on the cusp of taking out cover. But I wanted to speak to someone to check it first. The sales man mentioned that their is a mandatory £75 excess per callout for any boiler over 11 years old. I did not take out the cover because of this and it was clearly lucky that this was mentioned.

I am therefore writing this review to mention this important fact but I would also like to thank the sales man for mentioning this.

Honesty is important. Well done.
