Everything that you could possibly expect to go wrong, will go wrong with Wise Driving. Fitted your black box on time? Doesn’t matter, they’ll say they’re cancelling the policy because you haven’t yet fitted it. Been driving perfectly and in accordance with their policy? Doesn’t matter, your driving score will drop anyway. Cancelling your policy? Expect to call them again because they won’t have cancelled it when you asked them to. Expecting a refund in the time frame that you’ve been told? Expect to call them again after that time frame because you won’t have received the refund. Go with Wise Driving only if you have no other options insurance-wise. Ran by the most incompetent people imaginable. Joke of a company.

I had such problems with the insurance company, as such they cancelled my black box. However, years later, I decided to re contact them to look at resolving some issues. I must praise a man who helped me through this process. His name was Matt Baker, he was persistent, polite and extremely helpful during this stressful time. Thank you Matt for your help!

5 stars for the call advisor Adam Barker. Made it a quick and swift process in going through the steps of my policy and making my insurance very simple. Adam was very helpful and answered my questions without hesitation and made me feel comfortable over the phone. Top Man. 5 ⭐️

Cheapest insurance I could find after passing. Overall not the worst but certainly not the best. Certain sections on my black box such as acceleration never worked over the 12 months I was insured for. The worst part about all of this was the ridiculous prices it was to add extra miles to your insurance policy. When you first pass you don’t really know how many miles you are going to need on your insurance so I don’t know how they expect young drivers to pay hundreds of pounds to add extra miles. So overall there’s worse insurers out there.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! So they have a black Box which is not producing consistently accurate readings . So we received a email to let us know our score is below 30. Told us they would cancel our policy. Now at this point. I wish they had. It is very touch sensitive, drains battery. Acceleration sensitive. To the point its ridiculous. So we try to up our score with much difficulty. The score hasn't returned to below 30 according to our side. Woke up this morning to this company, having went into my bank and took another 1200 without any verbal communication with myself . The reason they have, they explained was because out score was below 30 again! And this is the new price. Seriously? Shouldn't we have a say if we want to accept new policy price or give us a right to cancel Apparently not ...its in their terms and conditions. Complete fraudsters !
So phoned them up and asked for my policy to be cancelled. In which they told me, I would be charged a substantial cancellation fee. And oh, wait for it the 1200 would still need to be paid...so basically I would recieve nothing back. Or very little .

Absolutely horrendous company, please avoid.

I wish we had read all the other horrific reviews from other poor people who have been stung with this company.

Currently seeking legal advise .

Please avoid at all costs.

Quite honestly the worst instance company I've ever had to deal with.
They kept on messing up the installation of the black box in the car, then on multiple occasions tried to cancel my insurance because they fitted faulty boxes.
The reason I have one star is because I did have an accident and because of the box installed they called me and set up a pain free recovery. It did take 2 days to set up a courtesy car. The car was scrapped and they charged me for the box even though they could've removed it.
Even though the accident wasn't my fault they said the underwriters wouldn't insure me, though I managed to find a better deal with GoSkippy.
My gain, their loss.

Currently, I'm a week into my first policy (I passed on the 26th of April and had some car issues to address before insuring) and so far the process has been quick and easy. The policy starts 00:01 on the day of cover and the dashboard with scoring incentive is a very niche but exciting thing. To be able to visually see your driving can help you drive better. The price for the insurance was the only one I could get that wouldn't leave me without money so I'd recommend for the price alone for cover (especially new drivers) this is the company to get you going.

Absolute con men!
Acceleration scores were recored at 0 for a month. everything else was up above 90%
I complained, they said nothing was wrong
I complained again and their 8 week complaints procedure took 15 weeks! I got sent a new black box and acceleration scores started coming in, low but at least a value.

They eventually responded to the complaint saying "we are unable to uphold your complaint" even though the new black box at least proved the first one was not recording acceleration at all.

I spent an hour on the phone to their complaints department when they repeated "we are unable to uphold your complaint". I said by stating that they are falsifying records as we had proven my complaint was correct. The complaints person refused to let me speak to a manager as they "are not the face of the company". I told her if she put on record my complaint was not upheld then they were falsifying records, she refused to do anything or let me speak to anyone.

These guys are conmen, willing to falsify records willingly for their own profit!

NEVER TAKE OUT INSURANCE WITH THEM. THEY WILL SCAM YOU!
