Absolutely appalling. Purchased insurance from them for many years. Went to change card details on renewal and was asked if we undertook calculations! When I confirmed, I was told that unless checked by third parties they couldn't provide cover. When I asked what use professional indemnity insurance cover was if it didn't cover design, I was told that it was a daily conversation with design engineers. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told 'there was no one higher', I was rude, and the phone was hung up on me. I recommended to avoid their pointless cover and disgusting customer service!

Caunce O'Hara once again provided excellent service. Their USP, from our point of view, rests in staff skills. They can always give great professional advice given that their staff have a lot of experience in the business world: not just 'salespeople', but people who 'have all the t-shirts'. Impressive: one of truly 'go-to suppliers'.

Took out a public liability policy with these guys as I work on the railways for my own LTD company. I opted for the additional income insurance. After 4 months I found out through a friend they only actually pay out £150 a week if your off sick or injured! Obviously this is useless so I asked what's the highest payout. Then for an extra £11 a month I was offered a payout of 80% of earnings capped at £500 a week, which is much better. On Monday I was diagnosed with covid and told to isolate for 10 days. These bandits are saying they won't pay out for the first 7 days. At no point was this made clear when taking out the policy, I have a daughter to feed I'm a single father and you've just had my eyeballs out for months taking payments from me with no intention of paying out when I genuinely needed it. Should be ashamed of yourselves.
