From arrival to checkout excellent customer service provided by the manager and staff in the restaurant both in the evening (big shout out for Daisy) and breakfast service. Food was delicious with plenty of choices, and a fabulous breakfast included too. Our room was very clean, heating easily adjusted to suit our preference, comfortable beds and pillows ensured a good nights sleep.

Fabulous staff and food. Breakfast was one of the best and excellent choices. Really comfortable bed and pillows too. We asked for a quiet room, which we had, but downside was it was really very small (just enough room to go round bed). Very clean though with lovely towels.

General atmosphere. The cleanliness. The location. The staff. All good.
Some of the food was good but the fish, in the fish and chips, was dry and yellow. When we let them know (not a complaint but an observation), the waitress didn’t come back. We had to go to the bar to get the dessert menu. In spite of that we would go back again.

The room was clean, and recently decorated I think, and spacious enough for two people for two nights. The breakfast food and evening restaurant meals were well cooked. Without exception the staff were all extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful.

We thought the pub was lovely, the rooms were spacious quiet, clean and a nice comfy massive bed!
The staff were very friendly
Food was excellent, the wife had the carvery, Brilliant, very tasty, I had Hunters chicken & chips, best i've had, Cask ales as well, who could ask for more?
We had a great stay and would definitely come again, if only for the food.
